Good morning Crazies. Time to start a new month and hope that some Crazie lurkers will jump in and join us. We really are a friendly group and it's a great way to get to know everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to grandson Colin who turns 8 today. Love you buddy and we will see you soon. Have a really super day.
I really enjoyed the cooler weather yesterday - only went into the mid-70's - just beautiful. Where can I move to where it will be like that year round? I'm sure I would get bored with that real quick but it sure was nice.
Tim - We are missing you! Please check in. Hope all is OK
Jackie - Your cruise sounds great. Hope your friends get their visa quickly and you can book it soon. When will you be back from your summer adventure?
Hector - Did you see the new State Theatre schedule for next year? Guess I'll be heading down to Easton bright and early in August. Maybe I'll see you in line. lol
Tea time, but I'll be back. Make today special and do something nice for someone.

Hi all!
Happy July!
Mom is staying with us for the forseeable future. She realized she cannot stay by herself and follow the rules of no twisting, bending, reaching or lifting anything over 5 lbs.
We will be getting Ashley and Aubrey on Saturday and keeping them thru Tuesday! Ashley's birthday is Monday, so we have a full weekend of festivities planned. Our house will be overflowing, but so happy!
Hope everyone is doing well and staying cool.
Hi to all and have a good day!

Good Morning...
Another month ... these things are passing by quicker and quicker.
MaryLou ... I think it was you that asked about the shelf project...it turned out well , I was going to use as a plant stand but it's full of books at the moment.
Martha ... sounds like a busy weekend and the festivities sound interesting.
I think a trip to the home improvement store is in store today, I have a couple of things in mind as well as trying to finsh the home repair that we started a month or so ago...
Well it's cooler anfd some wetter here and we can say thanks to Hurricane Alex ... it's a long way south and west but is still affecting our weather.
Coffee is ready, and sodas are in the cooler.
Later
Jim

Martha - sounds like a fun weekend. I'm sure the girls are looking forward to their visit as much as you are. Glad to hear your Mom will be staying with you for a bit. I know you worry about her when she is not there with you.
Jim - Happy shopping - If you are anything like my DH a "quick trip" to either Home Depot or Lowes can easily turn into an all day trip. lol Glad your plant stand/bookshelf project turned out well.

Good morning, Crazies!
Just a quick check-in this morning, because we decided to take a day and travel up to Winterthur, which is a couple of hours away in SE Pennsylvania.
MaryLou, enjoy the milder weather today, and I hope you didn't neglect getting Colin some silly bandz for his birthday.
Martha, it's always a bit of a strain when a relative parent moves in, but I'm sure it really sets your mind at ease knowing that you will be close by if she needs you. It's also pretty neat to be able to get all those generations together when the grandchildren come by!
Jim, have a great day today, and enjoy your trip to the TOY STORE!
Tim, good morning to you wherever you are.
Time to get moving.
Have a great day, Crazies.

Good Morning Crazies. Happy July! Have a couple of things to do today and then I’m all set for my weekend away. Howie on the other hand hasn’t packed a thing. Last time he waited to pack he left his socks home. Oh well, not my issue! LOL
Marylou Happy Birthday Colin! Mid 70’s is lovely to me too, let me know if you find somewhere like that!
Jackie I love St Lucia, it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite island. The Banana ketchup with hot sauce if great!
Martha glad to hear mom is doing OK and she realizes how little she can really do. I wish my parents would get that! Enjoy spending time with your granddaughters and wish Ashley a Happy Birthday from the Crazies.
Jim enjoy that cool breeze, never know when you’ll get another!
Tim just glad you and Melonie are OK.
Ray enjoy your road trip!
Well off to do some wash……I’ll check back later. Have a good day all!

An update from K&R since do to time restraints we don't get to the DD very often:
We had a break-in at work. Thieves cut thru our fence and stole scrap aluminum and stainless.
Rita's sister and niece from Phoenix came for a visit. We had a very large family reunion at our house last weekend.
I'm still have recurring problems with the shingles--I have good days and bad days. When will it end?
We went to a swim meet Tuesday for one of our 12 year old granddaughters. She won first place in the butterfly.
We hope all the Crazies had a great June and will have an even greater July!

You asked me this "last month" and I'm just now getting around to answering!! (actually it was a few hours ago. )
We put in at Fruita, out near Grand Junction. We'll spend four days on the river, and pull out just across the river in Utah. I've canoed both the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers. Lots of history along the rivers. We've seen old farmhouses from the turn of the century, arches in the rocks and in various stages of forming, and ancient petroglyphs from long ago. Unfortunately, most of the petroglyph sites have been marred by more recent copycatters, which makes it difficult to tell the real rock art from vandalism.

Yes, Rose and Kevin. I'm see the same problem. I'm running a 24" monitor and the posts are using all the width.
Bought a Barnes and Noble "NOOK" last night. Been downloading some books today in preparation for our Transatlantic cruise and our long flight to DC next week. Don't see this changing my avid book reading (about 6 or 7 a month) which I pickup at our library, but it will be great for traveling and reduce my load for long trips.
All is well here in toasty Las Vegas. Planning on going to DMV tomorrow to renew my driver's license. That is always a trip. But, it's been 12 years since they have seen me. Last time I got away with a mail-in renewal. Think they want to be sure I can walk in under my own power and still have a few marbles left.
Long weekend coming up for all you worker bees. Everyday is Saturday for us old folks. Eat your heart out Steve!! Keith, hope this shingles thing become a memory SOON. Happy Birthday, Jenn. I will not mention which one this was. You're still a "Young Chick" to me.
Later,
