Hi Crazies!

The bathroom reno will be done tomorrow - just a few minor things to finish up. I had fun today getting new shower curtains, rugs, etc....I will be doing the paint job - he's just priming. I like to paint anyway...
Now, I'm afraid that after I get the bathroom all done, I'm going to want to do other rooms in the house....LOL!

Ray, safe travels for Yuki and Kevin.....I know I'm a little late....

I hope they have a great trip!

While I was out to lunch with my friend today, I had a great chicken-waldorf salad....but I broke a tooth on a walnut. I tell ya, it's always something. I'm still having a little trouble with the vertigo - having to take the meclizine every day. I don't know what's going on!

SATURDAY - JULY 31st

Good morning Crazies and happy weekend. I'm looking forward to spending the day with the Ct. part of our family. I don't get to see Paige & Colin nearly often enough so today will be fun. Had a great day yesterday - went to see the Iron Pigs baseball game last night and it was a perfect day to be at the ball park. Temps were just around 80 with a slight breeze - I think the nicest night we have spent there is a long time.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes. They meant so much to me and helped making getting older so much easier.

I still have to make a cake for Colin and make some salads for lunch so I'll get things started and then come back. Make today special and share a smile with someone. It won't cost you anything but could make a big difference in their day

Yuki and Kevin got in about ten o'clock last night, and

Kevin began to practice as soon as he was unpacked.
Today Yuki and I are going to the recital/pool party in

Annapolis, armed with Shari's great curried chicken

pasta salad, which has been chilling overnight in the

fridge. I'm sure it will be a great hit at the recital.

Thanks to all the well-wishers for Yuki and Kevin's safe

trip!

Falina, have a safe trip and have a great time at the

birthday party. Clever solution to the Stuart-not-

taking-his-pill problem!

Steve, about 30 years ago we had a similar story - a

storm came through and we wound up having to put in

a new living room ceiling! That's when I learned how to

hang drywall - ugh!

Debbie, ouch on the tooth! Don't wait too long to have a

dentist fix it, and write it off as part of the remodeling job.

Back from the Wildfire capital of the world. About 40 homes destroyed in the town we were staying near....Tehachpi. Watched the fire trucks race out of town and saw the smoke in the mountains and knew it was not good. We were staying in Stallion Springs about 16 miles in the opposite direction, so we never even saw smoke from the resort, but what a tragedy for this small town.

Came home a day early to miss the traffic heading into Vegas from Southern California. Still hit some, but no too bad.

Had a nice relaxing time and that's what it was all about.

The roof is done, so glad to get rid of those shake shingles. Might be able to go somewhere next July 4th and not worry about the house burning down!

Gramps cut his hand and got it infected. It is swollen beut getting better. Gotta watch him every minute.

Ed...Glad you got home safely. Never been around a fire like that but would guess it is no fun and stressful.

Going to the theater tonight. This one is indoors, AC, and a bar. Much more to my liking!

The bathroom renovation is done

........except I still have to paint....and we need a small bathroom cabinet ( sits on the floor). I found the perfect one at Pottery Barn....but Zack's not too sure

Our bathroom is way too small for a cabinet sink so we have a little pedestal sink....and this lttle marble-topped piece with 4 drawers looks like it will be just perfect

Seriously, I hope that infection clears up soon. No more falls, I hope?!
Glad your roof job is complete!
