If you are absolutely sure that you want to delete your account, you can do so by letting us know here. Please note that once performed your account will be permanently deleted and all of your information will be irrecoverable!
Having trouble staying logged in to your CruiseCrazies account?
The below steps will guide you through the process of fixing any cookie issues within your web browser which could be the cause of not being able to remain logged in to your account. After each step, please restart your computer and check to see if the issue still exists. If it does, then proceed to the next step. Note: CruiseCrazies is not liable for the effects of any changes you make in your computer system while following this troubleshooting guide. By referencing this troubleshooting guide, you agree to assume all risks and responsibilities associated in performing these procedures to your system. STEP 1When logging in, be sure to check the tickbox that says "Remember Me."
If this does not resolve the issue, please continue with the next step. STEP 2: Delete Browser Cookies Microsoft Internet Exploder (IE)- Open IE and click on the "Tools" menu.
- Select "Internet Options."
- Click on the "General" tab if it isn't selected already.
- Under the heading "Temporary Internet files," click on "Delete Cookies..."
- Click "OK" for the "Delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder?" prompt.
- Click "OK" to exit.
Mozilla Firefox- Open Firefox and click on the "Tools" menu.
- Select "Options."
- Click on the "Privacy" icon on the left.
- Select "Cookies" and click on "View Cookies"
- Select cruisecrazies.com from the list and press "remove cookie."
- Click "OK" to exit.
Safari- Open Safari and click the "Safari" menu.
- Select "Preferences."
- Click the "Security" icon on the top left.
- Click the "Show Cookies" button.
- In the search box, enter "cruisecrazies" without quotes or simply scroll through the list of cookies.
- Click the "Remove All" button.
Once the cookies are cleared, shut down your internet browser, relaunch it, and return to CruiseCrazies! If this does not resolve the issue, please continue with the next step. STEP 3: Ensure you Have all the Latest Updates from Microsoft Point your web browser to http://update.microsoft.com/;. This will check to see if your computer needs any updates for Windows. Click the Express button, and follow the on-screen prompts that will help you review and install any necessary updates. After installing any updates to Windows, please restart your computer. If this does not resolve the issue, please continue with the next step. STEP 4: Try a Different Web Browser Using a different internet browser in some cases can significantly impact the functionality of your system. AOL has been known to cause problems including slow webpage loading and improper cookie handling. Many AOL users who have experienced problems with the browser have used Internet Explorer without any problems. Alternately, some people ocassionally have problems with Internet Explorer. An alternative is Mozilla Firefox. Both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are among the most popular internet browsers, and can be downloaded completely free: If this does not resolve the issue, please continue with the next step. STEP 5: Run the Windows Disk Cleanup utility 1. Click the Start button in the lower left corner of your taskbar. 2. Click Programs, Accessories, and then the System Tools menu. 3. From the System Tools menu, choose the Disk Cleanup utility. 4. Select the drive you'd like to clean up (in most cases the C: drive), and click OK. 5. Follow the on-screen prompts and restart your computer once the utility has completed.
If this does not resolve the issue, please continue with the next step. STEP 6: Run the Disk Defragmenter utility 1. Click the Start button in the lower left corner of your taskbar. 2. Select Programs, Accessories, and then the System Tools menu. 3. From the System Tools menu, choose the Disk Defragmenter utility. 4. Select the drive you'd like to defragment (in most cases the C: drive), and click the Analyze button. The Disk Defragment utility is designed to reorganize the data on your hard drive so that your computer runs more efficiently. Once the Defragment is complete, please restart your computer.
If this does not resolve the issue, please continue with the next step. STEP 7: Perform a System Restore to an Earlier Date 1. Click the Start button in the lower left corner of your taskbar. 2. Click Run, and in the dialog box type Restore. 3. Several icons will appear within a window. Double click rstrui.exe or the icon with the extension of .exe. 4. The System Restore Utility will appear. Please read the details on how it works, to understand what you are about to do. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions. The principal behind this utility is that you can restore your system to a particular date before you started experiencing any problems. The utility will guide you through the process. When it's completed, please restart your computer.

Why am I receiving email notifications and what are they for?
Some activities/events which occur throughout the community trigger an automatic email notification to the email address used during the registration process.
Example email notifications are for Friend Requests, Private Messages, Cruise Comments, etc
What is the "What's New" feature and how does it work?
The "What's New" feed is an auto-updating list of actions that have recently occurred within the community. This information is displayed (by default) on your "My Home" page. Your privacy settings allow you to specify what you want to have published about you in the recent activity feed.
Also, your recent community activities will be displayed on your profile page, in the "Recent Activity" section, unless you decide to hide it.
How do I set my "What’s new” preferences?
You can define what information from the community you would like to see in the"What’s New" page. To set your “What’s New?” preferences:
1. Click on the What’s New menu item in the user menu.
2. Click on the Preferences link on the right side of the page.
3. Select the community activities that you want displayed on the What’s Newpage.
4. Click on the Save Changes button. The What’s New page will now display only the activities that you want to see.
About Member Profiles
Each member's profile page is a critical component of our community. Along with the member's profile data, all of the user's photos, comments, groups, friends, statistics, and other items can be displayed here. This page is often used as a point of contact between members, so various options are available to viewers (such as "Send Message", "Add Friend", "Block User", and so forth).
Keyword Links
With this popular feature, many profile fields are "linked", and separated by commas. This means that whatever data the member provides in these fields will be separated by commas and linked to browse pages. For example, in the field titled "Places I've cruised to" and a member enters "Jamaica, St Thomas, Grand Cayman", each of those words will be linked on the user's profile page. Then, when a viewer clicks "Grand Cayman", they are taken to a page that lists all other users that have listed "Grand Cayman" in their "Places I've cruised to" field.
Birthdays
If you wish to display your date of birth but not your age, simply do not select a year from the birthday selection box. If you do enter your birth year, the system will automatically calculate your age and will display it on your profile directly below your birthday.
Personal Photos (avatars)
Each member can easily upload a photo of themselves, which is automatically sized down and used as their personal photo (also known as an avatar). This is displayed on their profile, in search results, when they send a message, on the forums, and on many other areas of the community. You can upload your personal photo by selecting the "Change Profile Photo" link from the "Profile" dropdown menu, located in the userlinks menu at the top of any page. What are Comments and how do they work?
All members can post comments on each other's profiles. This is an excellent way to stay in touch with friends. If an inappropriate or unwanted content is posted, the receiving user can delete it from his or her profile. Users also have the ability to choose who can post comments on their profile, and this can be adjusted from within the Privacy Settings.
How can I help welcome new members?
Most of the welcoming we do to new members is done via Comments. These Comments can be seen (unless hidden via privacy settings) on each member profile. To send a welcome comment to a new member, click their profile and then on their "Comments" tab of their profile....This is where you can post a new message welcoming them to the community. By default (unless specifying otherwise in their Email Nofitications settings) an email notification is sent, informing the member that they have received a new Comment.
What is the "My Status" feature and how does it work?
This feature allows you to show your "status" on your profile. By updating your status, you can tell others what you are up to, what's on your mind, etc. Each time you update your status, it is broadcast to the entire community, allowing your friends to stay connected with you!
How do I edit my profile photo?
Your profile photo is the image that is displayed to other community members andpublic users when they are browsing the community.
To edit your profile photo:
1. Click on the Profile >> Change Profile Photo option in the user menu.
2. If you need to remove the current photo click on the remove photo link. Note that you do not need to remove the photo if you are replacing it withanother photo – proceed to the next step.
3. Click on the Browse… button to find and select a photo that you want to useas your profile image. Note that you can only use photo images of the followingformats: jpg, jpeg, gif, png.
4. Click on the Upload button. Your photo has now been uploaded.
How do I update my status?
Your status is a one line indication of what you are currently doing, thinking, orfeeling, such as “John is happy” or “Jane is watching X-Files season 2”. This isdisplayed to other community members when they view your profile and in theWhat’s New area as a recent activity.
To update your status:
1. Click on the What’s New menu item in the user menu.
2. Click on the update link in the My Status area.
3. Enter the text that will appear after your name and click on the save link.Your status has now been updated.
What is the Map feature and how does it work?
Powered by Google Maps, this feature allows you to show off all the locations where you have cruised or travelled, on an interactive google map complete with pushpins, Map, Satellite, and Hybrid views.
Places I have entered are not appearing on the map! Help!
Because the Map feature is powered by Google Maps, the physical location of the place(s) you enter must be able to be understood and pinpointed by the google server. Make sure that when you complete the "Address" field, you enter a physical or identifiable location, so the map can correctly auto-place the pushpin at that specific location. You can also try googling a business at that location, use the physical address from this search, and copy it into the "Address" field.
Your Privacy & Map Privacy
Please keep in mind that for privacy reasons we do not recommend that you publish your exact location in your profile or Map. Remember, anyone who can view your profile (as per your privacy settings) can also see your Map.
How do I find friends?
In the upper right corner of every page there’s an extremely flexible member search bar, and an “Advanced Search” option. You can use these 2 search methods to find friends.
When using the search bar, a search is conducted through all profile fields. For example, if you type in “Miami” the search results will return all profiles containing the word “Miami,” however this search word may not be limited to only the location profile field.
When using the Advanced Search option, the detailed search page allows you to search all members based on specific criteria. This is a great way to find friends who live nearby, those with similar interests, others who share the same cruising preferences, and the list goes on!
How do I add a friend?
When you find a friend, you’ll see a link next to their photo, that says “Add to My Friends.” Once you click this, a confirmation window will appear, informing you that once you add the person to your friends, they will be able to see your profile (even if it's viewable by friends only). You will be asked to confirm the friend request. To confirm, click the “Add Friend” button, and a friend request will be sent to that member for approval. You will both appear as friends once the member has accepted the friend request.
Example: When Bob sends a friend request to Sally, Bob is added to Sally’s friend list and Sally is added to Bob’s friend list only after Sally confirms the friend request.
How do I message a friend?
While viewing a friend’s profile, you’ll see a link titled “Send Message,” located below their profile photo. Once you click the link, a menu will appear in which you may compose your new message. You can specify multiple recipients, and you can either select a friend from the autosuggestion area or simply type a member’s name and press Enter. Your message will be delivered immediately after you click the “Send Message” button.
If I ignore a friend request, will they know I am ignoring them?
No. If you choose to decline a friend request, the pending friend request will simply be removed as if there was never a friend request made in the first place. The person sending the request will never receive a message or notification informing them of the declined request.
How can I block other members?
Each member has the ability to block other users if necessary. Adding a person to your block list makes your profile (and all of your other content) unviewable to them. Any connections you have to the blocked person will be canceled. If you enter a username of someone that does not exist or has been deleted, they will not be added to your block list. To block a member, click the "Privacy Options" selection from the "Account Settings" pulldown menu, located in the userlinks menu at the top of any page. How do I see my Friends' birthdays?
You can view a list of all friends who have upcoming birthdays in the Friends’Birthdays area of the What’s New page.
To see your friends’ birthdays:
Click on the What’s New menu item in the user menu. All friends who haveupcoming birthdays are displayed in the Friends’ Birthdays area. You canclick on any member’s name to go to their profile page.
Is my information kept private?
Absolutely. We do not share any personally identifying information about you to any third party.
Please keep in mind that it is the option of each individual user to decide how much personal information to share within the user profile, forums, photos, and all other community content. Each user assumes all risks and liabilities associated with sharing such information.
Profile Privacy
From within your Privacy Settings, you can control who is able to view your profile. You can select from the following: - Everyone

- Only My Friends and Everyone within My Subnetwork
- Only My Friends and Their Friends within My Subnetwork

The public (vistiors not logged in) cannot view member profiles, unless otherwise specified from within your Privacy Settings. This default restriction helps protect your privacy, something we take very seriously.
Comments Privacy
You can limit who is able to post comments to your profile. You can select from the following user groups: - Everyone

- Only My Friends and Everyone within My Subnetwork
- Only My Friends and Their Friends within My Subnetwork

"Recent Activity" and "What's New" Privacy
You can control exactly which of your activities within the community are broadcast in the "Recent Activity" and "What's New" feeds. You can enable or disable the publishing of specific activities via your Privacy Settings. To delete a specific action, click the red x icon next to the activity in you profile. What are Pinned Topics?
Pinned Topics, also known as 'sticky' topics, are topics that remain at the top of a forum. Whereas un-pinned topics gradually start to fall down the forum as other topics are getting replied to and others are made, pinned topics remain at the top regardless.
Pinned topics are usually important news or announcements that all users are encouraged to read.
How do I create or edit my forum signature?
All members are allowed to create a 'Signature' for the forums. This will be displayed directly below any forum messages you post. An example of a signature would include your name, location, next upcoming cruise information, etc. To create or edit your forum signature, mouse over the "Account Settings" pulldown menu from the silver userlinks menu at the top of any page, and then select the "Forum Settings" option. How can I increase my post count?
As a new member, you begin with a post count of 0. This is the number of messages you have posted to the discussion forums. Messages posted within the forums increase your post count, and get you 1 step closer to the next available CruiseCrazies Cabin Accommodation upgrade.
How to use the Photo Gallery
The Photo Gallery allows users who have purchased a subscription to upload images and/or to create their own albums to host images. The following is brief overview of some of the features in our Gallery.
Sorting Images in a Category
When viewing a category, you can change the sort options in the category at the bottom of the screen. You can choose the order to sort the images in, as well as a cut off for the image submission date. Your sort selection will be carried over for each page you click until you leave the category.
Managing Your Albums
Visit your 'My Controls' page, and click on 'Your Albums' (or click on the 'My Albums' link in the member bar at the top of the page after you have created at least one album). You can create, edit, delete, and upload images to albums from this page. When adding or editing an album, note that you can either create a private album to host your images within, or you can create a public album viewable to all members.
Submitting an Image
To submit an image to a category, visit the category you wish to submit your image to, and click on 'New Image'. If the administrator allows you to bulk upload images, click 'Bulk Upload'.
Similarly, to submit an image to one of your own albums, you can visit your album in the Gallery and click on 'New Image'. You can also go to 'My Controls' and select 'Upload Image' from the drop down next to any of your albums.
Rating an Image
If the administrator allows, you can rate images in the Gallery. Visit an image, and select the rating you wish to apply to it from the drop down rate menu, and click 'Rate'.
Managing to your Favorites
To add an image to your list of favorites, when viewing an image click the 'Favorite' button.
To remove an image from your favorites go to your 'My Controls' page, and click 'Your Favorites'. Click the remove image button next to any image you wish to remove. Additionally, you can bulk download all of the images in your favorites list from this page.
Sending an Ecard
You can send an ecard to someone via email by visiting the image page and clicking the Ecard link. You will be able to customize some of the properties of the ecard, and specify an email address. When the recipient receives the email, they will then be able to follow the link to view the image with your personalized message.
Viewing a Slideshow
You can view a slideshow of all images in a category by visiting the category in Gallery, and clicking the 'Slideshow' button. You will be allowed to configure a few of the properties for the slideshow, and then the images will be presented to you in a slideshow manner.
Searching for an Image
On the Gallery home page, you can search for an image by typing in the text you wish to search for in the box at the top of the page. You can search in captions and descriptions for the text you specify.
Viewing Top Rated Images
At the bottom of the Gallery index page in the stats area, you can click on 'Top Rated Images' in the stats header to view the top 10 rated images.
Viewing the Most Viewed Images
At the bottom of the Gallery index page in the stats area, you can click on 'Most Viewed Images' in the stats header to view the top 10 images with the most views.
Viewing the Most Recent Comments
At the bottom of the Gallery index page in the stats area, you can click on 'Recent Comments' in the stats header to view the top 10 most recent comments made.
Viewing the Most Recent Image Submissions
At the bottom of the Gallery index page, a listing of the most recent images will be displayed.
About CruiseCrazies Photos
You can upload photos and publish them into photo albums. Photo albums are a way of sharing your images with the community. You can create and organize images in any way you want – you are only limited by the amount of disk space allocated to an album and the size of each photo. Add photo hosting to your account for a small one-time fee. Space restrictions apply. Details here.
What is Photo Tagging?
A photo tag allows viewers to add text to a particular area of a photo. This text will appear when viewers move their mouse over the indicated area of the photo or over the tag. Additionally, if a member is tagged within the photo, this photo will appear within the member's profile.
How to tag a photo
1. Display the photo that you want to add a tag to. If the 'Add Tag' link is displayed, you are able to add a tag.
2. Click on the 'Add Tag' link.
3. Position the dotted square where you want it on the picture. You can resize the square by dragging the corners.
4. Enter the tag description in the field or select a member name from the available list.
5. Click on the 'Save' button. The tag has been added to the photo and will display when a viewer’s mouse moves over the tagged area of the photo, or within a member's profile if they were tagged.
Adding a comment to a photo
If the album creator has enabled comments, community members can add their thoughts to an image as comments. Comments allow other community members to share their thoughts on a photo.
To add a comment to a photo:
1. Display the photo that you want to comment on. If the Comments field is available you are able to add a comment.
2. Enter your comment in the available field.
3. Click on the Post Comment button. Your comment has now been added to the photo.
Deleting an album
You can delete an entire album if it is no longer required. To delete an album:
1. Click on the 'My Stuff' > 'My Photos' option in the user menu.
2. Click on the 'Delete Album' link next to the required album.
3. Click on the 'Delete' button. The album has now been deleted.
Reporting inappropriate content
If you think a photo is inappropriate you can report it directly to the site administrator/moderators. To report inappropriate content:
1. Display the inappropriate photo.
2. Click on the 'Inappropriate Content' link.
3. Click on the type of inappropriate content you are reporting.
4. Enter a description of the problem.
5. Click on the 'Send Report' button.

How do I upload music to my profile?
This is a benefit for Site Sponsors. This allows you to upload audio files, which can then be played via a Flash player on your profile. This is a great way to distinguish your profile from others, and to show off your personal expression. What are the types of music formats I can upload to my profile?
Currently, mp3 and mp4 formatted songs may be uploaded to profiles.
Please note that certain distributors of music, such as iTunes, Amazon, etc may place limitations on how their songs are played. Because of these limitations, such songs may not play when uploaded.
What is the IM chat bar?
The IM (Instant Messaging) chat bar appears at the bottom of each page in the community. Instant messaging is a way for logged in friends to communicate with each other in real time using text. The main difference between the chat room (available for Site Sponsors) and the chat bar is that the chat room is for all logged-in Site Sponsors to chat with each other in a group setting while the chat bar is for chatting between friends privately.
How do I use the IM chat bar?
1. Click the 'Friends Online' link within the IM chat bar at the bottom of the page. All of your friends currently logged in will be displayed in a list.
2. Click on the friend who you would like to chat with.
Note: If the IM chat bar is flashing that means you have a new message from the friend whose name is displayed in a gray box.
3. Enter the text you want to send in the field at the bottom of the window and press Enter on your keyboard.
4. When you have finished chatting click on the X button at the top of the chatwindow to close the chat session.
How do I set the IM chat bar options?
1. Click on the blue options button at the bottom right corner of the chat bar.
2. Click on one of the following options to change your chatting status: · Online – You are logged in for chatting and are available to chat. · Offline – You are not logged in for chatting. · Away – You are logged in for chatting but are not available to chat.
3. Select the 'Play sounds' tick box to turn on chat bar sound effects.
