Royal Caribbean Sets 2009-2010 Winter Program
Royal Caribbean International will offer sailings in Australia, Asia, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean in winter 2009-10. The three- to 18-night itineraries are operated by three Royal Caribbean ships. Brilliance of the Seas will continue its second year-round deployment in Europe in 2010 from Malaga, Spain. Rhapsody of the Seas will embark on its third season in the South Pacific and Australia, and Legend of the Seas will sail Royal Caribbean's third consecutive winter season in Southeast Asia. Bookings for these cruises open this week. Pre- and post-cruise cruise-tours are available. A five-night Australia cruise-tour begins in Sydney and features the Great Barrier Reef and Ayers Rock. A six-night New Zealand itinerary features Auckland, Rotorua, Queenstown and a Milford Sound cruise. All Royal Caribbean cruise-tours are escorted by regional specialists, and include deluxe hotel accommodations, activities, air and land transfers, certain meals, and time for individual pursuits.
Rhapsody of the Seas will return Down Under from September 2009 through April 2010, offering 17 voyages to Hawaii, the South Pacific islands, Australia and New Zealand. Itineraries range from eight to 18 nights and call at a total of 39 ports in six countries. Rhapsody will circumnavigate the continent in November 2009 and again in late February 2010, each time sailing a 17-night northern coast passage from Sydney to Perth and an 18-night southern return passage. From January through April 2010, Brilliance of the Seas will offer 16 round-trip sailings from Malaga on alternating seven-night itineraries to the Canary Islands and the Western Mediterranean. Legend of the Seas offers 19 Asia sailings, ranging from three- to 15-night itineraries and calling at 21 ports in 11 countries. A 15-night "Exotic Asia" itinerary on Jan. 28, 2010, sails from Singapore to Hong Kong with overnight stays in Singapore; Bangkok (Laemchabang), Thailand; Ho Chi Minh City (Vung Tau) and Hanoi (Ha Long Bay), Vietnam; and Hong Kong.
The Legend's repositioning from the Mediterranean is available in two segments -- a 12-night itinerary from Rome to Dubai departing Oct. 23, 2009, and a 13-night itinerary from Dubai to Singapore departing Nov. 4, 2009, which features a transit through the Suez Canal and overnights in Dubai, Mumbai and Singapore.
