Recently returned from a 16 day repo from Dover to New York. The only word to describe it is outstanding. First time on Carnival. Duly impressed with service and activities. Great shows. Food adequate but not outstanding. We got a surprise when we left Belfast. Cruise director informed us that we would be the first Carnival ship to transit the Prince Christian Sound in Greenland. At times no more than 1500 ft. wide through incredible mountains and glaciers. We passed many very large ice bergs. Witnessed the Northern Lights on several different nights. On the morning we came into New York harbor a very moving sight awaited us. It was still dark when we passed the Statue of Liberty all lit up. The new Tower being built was brightly lit up as well. Please check out a blog from the cruise director who has a video of the Prince William strait tansit. It is JohnHealdblog. Getting ready to book another cruise. Not sure where or what line but going back to sea as soon as we can.
