COMPLETE REVIEW

Having cruised on numerous ships and lines since 1989 my wife and I think these very large ships may be reaching their limits especially from a service standpoint. To accomodate my son and daughter-in-law's wishes we recently cruised as part of 4100 passengers on the new Dream. After the first day it became apparent to us that Carnival has some issues to resolve when one compares how things are handled vs. smaller ships. Cabin stewards continue to do an excellent job but the same cannot be said for either the quality or service in some of the food venues, especially the main dining room. Anyone who has not sailed on Celebrity, Princess, HAL and even Carnival (a couple years ago) may not know what they're missing. Those who might care to rock climb or ride a wave (in a pool) may not agree but we'll look at smaller ships for our future cruises.
