COMPLETE REVIEW

Carnival Dream cruise from New Orleans W Caribbean Sept 7-14, 2014

Cozumel, Mexico - Georgetown, Grand Cayman - Montego Bay, Jamaica

This review will be short since it seemed liked a generic cruise to two previous cruises on the Carnival Conquest. The biggest different is the size of the ship and the passenger count is larger.

The two ships were side by side while we were in Cozumel!

All and all it was a good cruise but not a great cruise. Our service for late dining was very good and our room steward also did very a very good job. The rest of the service and the food was just so-so.

We did enjoy the late brunches in the dining room on sea days. We also enjoyed dancing to the music of 'Two for You' and the 'Blackjack' band. They were very good.

In Cozumel we just did a little shopping and had some nachos and a drink.

At Grand Cayman we stayed on the ship and just relaxed by the pool all day. In Montego Bay we took the bus to Rose Hill shopping center where Rita bought a Fortune Cookie purse.

The embarkation was typical, however the disembarkation just took entirely too long.

Our pre-cruise at the Holiday Inn on Loyola Street near the Superdome was great. We booked their park and cruise package for our third stay there. We rate the hotel and their employees as top notch! We will see them again in December for our back to back cruise on the Serenade.

We also had a great time at Maison on Bourbon listening to their great jazz. Once again they played 'Back Home Again In Indiana' for us. For dinner that evening we went back to our favorite restaurant, Pat O'Brien's. The food and service is always good and the 'Fuzzy Leprechauns' were great!

We loved dancing on there, too, especially in the atrium by the bar and elevators. While it already had the Blue Iguana, and Red Frog, it didn't have Guy Fieri's Burgers yet when we were on it last Nov. Also good internet connectivity on there.
