COMPLETE REVIEW

Nassau, St Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk were the ports of call. Nassau, been there done that. (It was cloudy or rainy 5 of the 7 days and Carnival can't control the weather, so can't hold it against them.) Seas were rough and shows were cancelled 2 of the nights but other activities were planned. The Emerald Room Steakhouse was the best meal of the cruise, the 30.00 charge is under priced. You would pay so much more at an elegant place on land. St Thomas was crowded with 6 ships in port, Carnival, 2 from Holland America, Disney, NCL Epic, Disney and RCI all had ships. The views from Paradise Point were amazing, worth the ride up if you go. Shopping was the best here. San Juan, we were the olny ship and had Old San Juan to ourselves. Walked around, got caught in a major rain storm, waited it out in one of the old forts. We made our way to Senor Frogs for lunch before we had to get back on the ship and head towards Grand Turk. Finally sun and warmer weather. A nice day was had in Grand Turk. We never left the cruise center, did some shopping and got a table at Margaritaville before the Princess ship came in. You have to see the color of the water here to believe it. The final day at sea on the way back to Miami was nice as well. My only complaint of the trip was with the debarkation, we had a late flight home and booked a South Beach tour, we were off the ship by 7:50 am through customs and directed to a waiting bus at 8:10 at 9:30 we finally left.

This was my 5th Carnival Cruise, the 6th will be on the Victory in Nov 2011 on the Southern Route.

I'm so glad that you had a GLORY-ous time. We did this itineary November 2011 and had pretty much the same weather then. Sounds like you made the best of everything. We're looking forward to returning to Grand Turk. I agree. The color of the water is amazing.
