COMPLETE REVIEW

This was our first cruise and we chose the Zenith because of the smaller size and because we really didn't want to end up on a "party boat". It was perfect for a first cruise!

It doesn't take long before you realize that the staff is a happy group and so very well trained. Everyone greets you with a smile and before long they start calling you by name. At our first dinner in the dining room I requested lemonade and from that night on, a glass of lemonade was placed before me as soon as I sat down.

I thought the food was great! But I'm ashamed to admit that my favorite meals were at the lunch buffet. Be sure to go to the sandwich station where they make up the sandwich of the day on a huge croissant roll.....yummy! (I'm still working on getting rid of those extra pounds I gained)

We didn't get off at Grand Caymen so I can't comment on the tours. We stayed aboard and enjoyed having the ship almost to ourselves. It's also a great time to get a lounge chair by the pool. It seems as though every morning people got out to lay claim to chairs earlier and earlier.

Key West was fun though all we did was stroll through the shops and had a drink at Capt. Tony's (my husband was there 30 years ago and felt we just had to stop in.

Debarkation didn't take long but it seemed as though it took us forever to find our bags. Maybe I'll paint big RED stars on them before our next cruise LOL

A word about room service....usually I'd order a couple chocolate chip cookies for late night snack. On the last night we got to our room pretty late so I didn't bother (my husband had a few too many so I didn't figure he'd want a snack). Anyway, when I got up in the morning there was a room service tray with a big sandwich on a roll and a half eaten sandwich. I asked Ray abt it and he laughed and said he'd called room service to order a couple danish.....they brought 3 tuna sandwiches!........guess he might have slurred his words LOL

All in all it was a super trip.......my only regret was that we didn't book our April 19th trip while we were onboard since it would have saved us some money.
