COMPLETE REVIEW

My wife and I srecifically chose NCL because of "Freestyle" dining. We do not like "dress-up". The appealing feature of this cruise was the notion that we could eat when we wanted, where we wanted and with whom we wanted.

We chose to eat in the main dining room for all of our meals. We never ate the same thing twice. We never saw the same items or menu twice. We were never disappointed. We did not want to spend extra money for our food in the "pay" restaurants.

We had an "oceanview" room which was very comfortable. The bed was king sized. We had been warned that the bathrooms would be small and this was no exaggeration. They were adequate for their purpose and since very limited time was spent in the bathroom why complain. The room was always tidy, clean and fresh towels etc. were always there. Except for sleeping we spent all of our time in activities, etc.

The shows on the Sun are worthy of high praise. The Jean Ryan Troupe (Colin Kerr - MC) provided a fresh show every night. These performers were first rate, entertaining and always on the go. Colin and his comments about his conferences with the Captain kept us in stitches.

Embarkation took 40 minutes and debarkation & Canada Customs 20 minutes and I was in a wheel chair. The only flaw in the whole trip was the lousy sidewalk in Wrangel when I decided to be clumsy and tripped wrecking my knee.

This was a 35th wedding anniversary trip for us. The scenery is unimaginably beautiful. Turing the corner in Juneau and getting the first up close look at the Mendenhall Glacier takes your breath away. Later that day we went up the Tracey Arm to the South Sawyer Glacier - this was magnificent.
