Both Port Everglades and The Port of Miami have been closed, until further notice, due to the threat of Hurricane Frances.

Ships due to arrive Saturday and Sunday may be delayed, since they cannot return to this area until all danger is past.

Good Luck to all you Floridians (even if you have a little trouble with Chad). Don't try to be a hero, get out of harms way. Mother Nature is not fooling around! Stuff can be replaced or repaired but you do not have nine lives!

Saw the damage Andrew did to South Florida and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers!

I just got this off Carnivals Website for all of you sailing to the Panama Canal on the Paradise...........hope it helps...good luck and stay safe......

PARADISE – Fifteen-day Panama Canal cruise scheduled to depart Sun., Sept. 5 has been converted to a fourteen-day Panama Canal voyage departing on Mon., Sept. 6. The only anticipated itinerary adjustment is the deletion of a port call to Aruba. Guests will receive a $200 per person shipboard credit. Those who wish to cancel may choose between a future cruise credit or a full refund.

For guests who booked air on their own and elect to sail on the modified itinerary for any of the above voyages, Carnival will provide up to $100 per person in reimbursement for costs incurred as a result of necessary flight changes. Guests will be required to provide proper documentation. Guests who elect to cancel their voyage and booked air on their own, will not be provided reimbursement of airfare-related costs.

All of the ships listed above are expected to arrive late from their current voyages due to port closures.

Up-to-date information on ship arrivals and departures will be available at www.carnival.com and via recorded message at 1-800-CARNIVAL. You can also email questions to hurricanefrances@carnival.com -- please include booking number and/or ship and sailing date to expedite a response. Individuals who are scheduled to sail on any of the above voyages should check regularly for updates.
