The Brooklyn Bridge

A world of its own,

The streets where we played,

The friends on every corner were the best we ever made.

The backyards, and the school yards

And the trees that watched us grow,

The days of love when dinner time was all you had to know.

Whenever I think of yesterday,

I close my eyes and see,

That place Just Over The Brooklyn Bridge

That will always be home to me.

It'll always be home to me.

(I watched a show about Coney Island, on the History Channel, tonight, and got a little nostalgoc.....)

I love this photo and all that it means to you. I can't imagine what it feels like to live in such a city. I've visited New York and it feels like a world tour without leaving the city. Besides all the different cultures, there is love and hate and violence and peace. It's a little world in itself. Everywhere that you walk, there is history. I envy you your nostalgia for this great city.

Great photo, Jeff! I wanted to see that show on the History channel, but I missed it. I hope they play it again. I'd love to tour New York someday! I have driven by on the freeway many years ago, but that's as close as I've been.

I've lost count of how many times I've walked on the pedestrian platform... the best views of the city were from the middle of the walkway.

Jeff, is the poem one of your compositions? Very nice.
