CruiseCrazies Packing List

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Let's make our own CruiseCrazies Packing List. When we finalize the list, I'll post it separately, adding check boxes, and making it a printable page. I'm sure many people would find it extremely helpful in the often dreaded and complicated cruise packing process.

Here's some categories to start off with:

[*]The Basics

[*]Clothing for Her

[*]Clothing for Him

[*]Personal Items

[*]Cabin Items

[*]Misc.

Feel free to add a category, or anything else not yet specified.

Let's make this the most comprehensive packing list online!

If you wear glasses, be sure to bring an extra pair, or at least a glasses repair kit. My DH and I both had ours break on two different trips. Don't forget the sunglasses.

It's a good idea to bring quite a few one dollar bills for tipping baggage handlers or room service or anything else that might come up.

Bring some hand sanitizer to help avoid flues and colds and in case of using a bathroom on a tour that's not quite clean. Bring a little toilet paper in your purse, also, for the same reason.

I always bring at least one warmer nightie in case of too-cold, air-conditioned rooms.

You should pack some reading material for sure:

-War and Peace (which you have always wanted to read but never found the time)

-Trashy bodice-ripper novels with Flavio on the cover

- all of those Star and Enquirer mags that your friend reads but you would never buy but you like reading them

- the latest murder mystery novel by Ian Rankin

- the latest New York Times bestseller which is sure to invite conversation with other passengers

We always bring return address labels to give to all the new friends we meet. Also - be sure to label your cameras with them. Our camera with all our cruise pictures was returned by the Guest Relations desk before we even realized it was missing.

Don't pack all of your clothes in one bag and his in another. Divide the clothes up so you will both have clothes if something should happen to your bags.
