Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) will extend Norwegian Sea's deployment in Houston through July, adding 11 more western Caribbean sailings and one Panama Canal sailing. Norwegian Sea was originally expected to leave NCL's fleet in May to transfer to parent company Star Cruises, but the schedule was changed slightly. Officials say the schedule will close the gap between the time Norwegian Sea departs Houston and Norwegian Dream arrives to sail from that port in October.

Priced from $529 per person double, the first 10 additional western Caribbean sailings will depart Houston each Saturday and call at Cozumel, Mexico; Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras; Belize City, Belize and Cancun, Mexico through July 16. Then, the ship will sail an abbreviated western Caribbean itinerary offering all ports except Roatan, before its two-week Panama Canal sailing on July 22. With fares from $1,049, the Panama Canal cruise will feature port calls in Cozumel, Mexico; Cartagena, Columbia; transit the Panama Canal and then continue onto Los Angeles with calls in Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
