Dancer
Our cruise is stopping in Grand Cayman next month. We want to go to seven mile beach and are trying to find more information of beach areas we can go to on Seven Mile Beach Area.
DaCruzNut
Seven Mile Beach is a crescent-shaped, beautiful, beach that is actually 5 ½ miles long (It was, obviously, named by a man…). It is lined with hotels and resorts, and is kept immaculate. There are no peddlers, hair-braiders, etc; allowed on the beach. There’s a small reef, just a few hundred yards from the shore, which provides decent snorkeling. You will, usually, see several turtles near the reef. They rent waverunners on the beach, but they’re expensive! About $60.00-$70.00 for a half-hour! In my opinion, it is best to head for the northern part of the beach. The southern end, near the Marriott Hotel, is narrower, and tends to get crowded. Also, the sand is coarser with ground coral and can hurt your little footsies….
