You may not remember me from before but, I was the one that DH and I canceled our 25th anniversary cruise so my son and family could move back home to Virginia. The money was needed to help and not for fun right then.

It has been a lifetime since then and I have been back reading your posts off and on all these months. I have a question but, feel the need to tell you briefly what has happened.

My DH committed suicide and I am now a widow. Hence my question as I need to run away for a week or so.....

Do any of the lines offer a discount for singles? I am not in any condition for a cabinmate and just really want this time to reflect and see where the rest of my life is going. A cabin, a book, and some sea air would do wonders for healing a part of my soul.

Any information would be great but even if they don't....I still need to run away....just for a short time.

TY

Elaine - I am so sorry for what you have been through. Please, Private Message me and I will get you in touch with my singles cruise specialist TA. I don't want to post the info on the board since I am not sure it would violate any rules, but she is truly great and can help you.

Elaine...I'm so very sorry about your husband and what you are going through. I hope you can find a nice cruise to get away and rest. I was a widow before the age of 30(my first husband died in a car accident). If you ever want someone to talk to, you can send me a private message, and I will give you my e-mail address. God Bless!

Elaine - so sorry to hear about all you have been going through. It does get better but it takes time and faith in yourself. Been there - done that, but that's a whole book for me. As the others have said - if you need to talk just e-mail. Heck - if you want to come to Vancouver, B.C. for a rest I'll pick you up at the airport. We have a newly finished guest room that should suit you! And lots of books as well lol. Take care of yourself - sometimes you just have to put "you" first. You said your family has moved back to Virginia - is that where you are now. Family is so important, especially in the tough times when friends may not understand what you are going through. If you need a good read - try "Skinny Dip" it is so funny and they say laughter is the best medicine. Take care - sending hugs - Jennifer
