Well last night it started with and icy mix.

Overnight we got a mere 4 inches of heavy slushy snow.

If you used a shovel your back is in extreme pain.

By 12 we again had freezing rain.

A good 1/4 inch on my truck

Now we have THUNDERSTORMS

Yep its pouring rain. But still its 30 degrees.

OH that one was close..

And tonight they are promising an ICE STORM with 40 mph winds.

I can feel tree limbs breaking.

Going out to the shed to fire up the chainsaws.

Ahhh you really gotta love it.

Sounds like Minnesota!

Hope you stay safe and don't lose your power eagle forest!

We might make it down to -15 below zero this weekend and -25 to -30 below windchills. I'm staying home... except for church.

eagle_forest,

There's that wonderful uplifting spirit again. It seems that you are enjoying all of that snow, ice and wind. While you're playing in it just be careful to watch your back and those slippery surfaces.

I don't envy you one bit.

In New York, there's almost no evidence that we had record snowfall last Sunday. The high temperatures has virtually melted all of the snow that was in the streets and on the sidewalks. It's really warm this morning, but we're supposed to have a dramatic drop in temperature and extreme winds. New York doesn't sound as bad as Michigan right now.

Take care.

Heatwave coming NOT

A GUSTY WEST WIND TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING WILL COMBINE

WITH VERY COLD TEMPERATURES TONIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING. THE

RESULT IS DANGEROUS WIND CHILL VALUES. FROSTBITE CAN OCCUR IN LESS

THAN 10 MINUTES ON EXPOSED FLESH. IF YOU MUST BE OUTSIDE...DRESS

APPROPRIATELY...ESPECIALLY COVERING HANDS...FACE...AND HEAD.

eagle_forest,

Your wife has a point, but I'd rather be cold at 40 degrees and no wind than cold at 9 degrees with a gusty wind.

New York City is having relatively good weather again. It's cold and windy, but at least it's not snowing. Towns northwest of NYC are really having a tough time because the strong winds are knocking down trees that causing damage and unfortunately some death.

It was around -18 below zero overnight with a wind chill of around -30 below. Yikes! That's too cold for me! The caribbean cruise sounds great Jeff!

Stay warm, everyone!

Sounds like you are in the same winter weather patern that we are here in upstate NY! We still have people that are without power from the wind storm that came through on Friday.

What part of Michigan? Wife is originally from Kalamazoo area.

Jeff it sounds nice down there!!!!
