Because your party is so big you may want to consider the shuttle. You'll probably have a lot of luggage that has to be transported.

There are Cruise Crazies who live in South Florida who can let you know if it's more economical to take two or three cabs to the Port of Miami.

You might want to consider a large SUV type cab. We did this in Ft. Lauderdale when we had five in the group. Simply told the guy calling the cabs what we needed and he sent us around the corner of the terminal where there were severl oversized cabs available. We used a Ford Explorer that even had rear seat TV.

I would think at Miami there should be something similar available. More than a regular cab, but a heck of a lot cheaper than the per person charge for the Cruise Line shuttle.

We used SuperShuttle in LA, and they are located in many cities nationwide, including Miami. Just go outside from baggage claim and look for the Supershuttle rep who will be wearing a light blue jacket with yellow lettering or a yellow shirt with blue lettering. The vans are blue with yellow lettering, so they might be easier to spot.

i would recommend taking a shuttle, since renting a car would probably be a waste of money since it will be sitting in a parking lot during most of time your renting it and you will also have to pay to park it.

the shuttle would be hassel free and will get you to the docks before your ship leaves and bring you to the airport before your flight, and the money you save in parking fees its more you can spend at the bar!
