My DD and I got back yesterday. We had an amazing time and the weather was perfect! We boarded the ship at noon and went straight to eat. Bumped into many of my prior waitstaff and it was wonderful to see them again! We then went to the pool bar and again were greeted by many crew friends.

Our cabin attendent Rosita was great! As always our dining experience was wonderful. Got to see many of the Head waiters I've had over the years. One morning we went to breakfast and there were 6 of them standing in a row....LOL! Took forever to say hi to all of them.

In Nassau we roamed around town for a while and did a little shopping. The weather was supposed to be chance of thunderstorms all weekend but we saw no rain at all until we came home yesterday morning. That night we went to the deck party and Cynthia got me to line dance! We had a blast watching those around us too. CocoCay was hot as always. We laid out in a hammock, strolled along the beach, and just laid around and talked for a while. We stopped to eat and then headed back to the tender to return to the shiip. We dropped our stuff off at the cabin and headed for the pool and a cold beer!!! Sat in the pool with the cold one and just chilled for an hour or so. The water was just perfect.

The last night was very sad for us......had to say goodbye to all of our friends who will be sent throughtout the fleet to other ships. I did have the pleasure of speaking to the Captain and have my picture taken with him. I thanked him for the wonderful weekend and told him he has the best crew in the fleet! He will be moving on to Majesty of the Seas.

The casino started off slow for both of us but in the end Cynthia almost broke even on the nickel slots and I came out with enough to pay the bar bill.....LOL! Had a great run on Roulette.

It was wonderful to share this weekend with my DD. I really miss her being around and getting to talk to her face to face. We really had a fun and restful time. Glad we got the quality time I was missing. What a great birthday I had!

Sovereign of the Seas has been a home to me for 8 years and she'll be sorely missed as will her wonderful crew!

So glad you and Cynthia had great mother/daughter time  But I'm sure it was bittersweet saying good-bye to "old friends". Like Mary Lou said, hopefully you'll run into some of them on other ships!

We only sailed on the SOS once but had a ball. It was for our first anniversary and we were joined by both of Roe's sisters and their husbands.

Sorry to hear she is leaving the fleet

Glad you had a fantastic time with DD.
