Hi guys. Sadly there are no cruises in the near future as we have a trip to India planned in Oct. which includes a stop over for 4 days in Hong Kong on the way back. I booked a R/T to HK with our miles and will get a local R/T from there to Delhi after a one night stay on the way to just rest and try to get a good nights sleep. However what I've learned the hard way is that the baggage restriction for the HK-Del. flight is severe, only 20 kg. pp and its about $11.00 extra PER KG!!! We have alot of gifts to take and that extra wt. would in effect offset what we save by booking with miles so I am trying to find alternate routes to send stuff ahead of time. This has led me to various sea mail companies via ocean freighters. This cost is about half of what it would cost to send via the USPS though the latter is seemingly more reliable and of course much faster. Well wish me luck and I'll keep you updated. It is. We fly from CHI to Tokyo and thats about 12 hrs or so, then connect to HK. Returning we fly HK to Korea and from there its 13 hrs. NS to CHI.

Larry....What an interesting trip. Hope everything works out for you. I flew from Okinawa to LA non-stop and that was long enough for me. Because of the International Date Line I think we landed 30 minutes before we left!

I hear that. :biggrin: U/A has a NS from HKG to ORD which for the same reson lands one min. after departure.
