ANNOUNCEMENT! CruiseCrazies 2.0, the NEW & IMPROVED CruiseCrazies, is sailing in to a computer near you...

The word is now out....

We're goin' back to our roots!

To what we started as...A community of people chatting about everything and anything related to cruises, maybe non cruise discussions, and also to meet other cruisers in the process.

Over the last 1.5 years, we've put a great deal of emphasis on social networking components. They're cool...Yes...But do we want to be like another Facebook? No! We are much different...We are "The Friendliest Cruise Community on the Net!" For that reason we have decided to shift our emphasis back to why our community was originally founded - Cruise discussions and information! We'll still have profiles, friends lists, wall comments, and the like, however these features will have a different look and feel from our current setup.

So what does this mean?

We're reverting back to our previous community forum software! What we had previously used for many years and what we had been used to...Including the popular options such as: View most recent posts, Go to Last Post, Forum Statistics, Topic Post Icons, Today's Active Content, Today's Top 20 posters, Overall Top Posters, Direct Post Links, simple BBcode message and signature formatting, simple searching, enhanced speed, increased reliability, and more.

What about everything else?

It's not just the Forums that are reverting back to the old platform - It's the entire site! Once all has been completed, the CruiseCrazies Community will be much more tightly integrated than ever before...For the first time ever, each and every CruiseCrazies feature, including Cruise News, Cruise Reviews, Forums, and everything else, will be built within the existing framework...For 100% community integration, ease of use, simple navigation, and maximum accessibility.

When will this happen?

This large project has been in the works for 2 months, and the New & Improved CruiseCrazies will finally debut this week, potentially as early as Wednesday. All data including forum messages, profiles, signatures, etc, is in the process of being migrated for all members, to make the transition as seamless as possible. While we make final preparations to the database and configuration files, the site may not be available...This will most likely be Tuesday. So if you are unable to connect to us, please don't be worried, we will be back, and better than ever!
