Thanks for the review, Jan! Sounds like I need to get on the Ocean Princess. One question - did you have to dress (up) for the afternoon tea?

No dressing up needed and no British formality here - whatever we were wearing around the ship during the day was perfectly fine.

I loved our sailing on that ship when it was still named the Tahitian Princess. It is also a twin to the Oceania Insignia and Nautica and Regatta. We also sailed on Nautica and thought is was better maintained than the Princess one. All are former R ships from Renaissance Cruise Line, which went bankrupt in 2001.

Nice review!! We were on that ship too but then it was the Tahitian Princess for a French Polynesian cruise in 2006. I agree it was elegant. The food was the best we've ever had on any ship and the crew gets top marks from me. I also noticed that as the passenger count is so much lower that you seem to see the same folks more thus promoting more familiarity, more friendliness.
