Celebrity Cruises presents "Sin City Comedy." Who enjoys late night comedy?

An edgy outgrowth of modern luxury line Celebrity Cruises' commitment to offer what consumers want in innovative, late-night entertainment is the debut of "Sin City Comedy."

Designed to be funny and a little bit sexy, Sin City Comedy combines comedians with tasteful burlesque acts. The new, late-night show is offered on Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Silhouette, and will rotate to Celebrity Solstice in May. Presented by the award-winning Sin City Comedy at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, the show is a two-time winner of the coveted "Best of Las Vegas" award.

The caliber of talent is top-notch, with comics who have appeared on Comedy Central, VH1, HBO, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Celebrity's Sin City Comedy shows are presented at varying late-night time slots in "Celebrity Central" on Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Silhouette. Because the shows contain adult content – tastefully and entertainingly presented – they are open exclusively to guests age 18 and older.

Celebrity believes entertainment doesn't need to end at bedtime, particularly when on vacation. "We're going to shake up perceptions of what shipboard entertainment is all about, with widely varied, enticing options throughout the day and night on every ship," says Celebrity's Director of Entertainment Eric Bohus.

The introduction of Sin City Comedy comes just one month after Celebrity joined forces with Billboard to launch a series of innovative, modern luxury musical programs onboard. Celebrity also presents authentic live music, including jazz ensembles, high caliber vocalists, energetic party bands and spectacular stage shows.

Yet more examples of cruise lines working with existing land-based ventures to create new experiences at sea. It must be very successful for them, or at least more economical than creating things from scratch.

We’ve gone to the adult-oriented comedy shows before; they’re usually a lot of fun. It looks like this’ll just be another twist on that same idea but we’ll definitely check it out next time we’re on a ship with this show!

Just what my husband needs - another shot at being singled out in the audience! Really, though, we love risqué comedy - as long as it's really funny. And I do think well-known brand entertainment will be good for cruise business. Look at Cirque and Blue Man Group - very popular on NCL.

Another reason we really should try Celebrity. Does anyone know if Celebrity does a 3 or 4 day cruise from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami???

They sure do, Cheryl.

Celebrity Constellation

Dec19, 4 nts, from FLL, western Caribbean, from Nassau & Key west

Or March 28 (better start packing!). From Miami, 4 nts, Key West & Cozumel

They have some 5 nights too.

Celebrity is having their 1,2,3 Go! Sale going on now, too!

The 5-night out of Miami on 4/6/2013 starts at just $402.77 per person (of course the ads say it starts at $299) for an inside guarantee. We’ve found that it’s not unusual for Celebrity to sometimes be less expensive than Royal Caribbean even though they’re considered a premium product. Celebrity Constellation was the first ship of the line we sailed on and we were wowed by the level of service and quality! Highly recommended!

Wow, thanks, Jan and Michael and Amy. I will definitely be checking out those dates, not the March 28th, though. I didn't realized that Celebrity did the shorter cruises too .
