I thought I had copied the Forumulas DOWN when the Metric change Occured

But I did NOT, so when israelhenriques asked me how Royal converted things I REALLY had to go Diging over at C----- C---- In Order to Find it.

I realize the original post here is old but this conversion to number of nights has always been a bone of contention with me. I currently get a point for every night of my cruise. Prior to conversion I had 3 cruises which gave me 22 points. These three cruises, however, was 25 nights. If 25 nights gives me 25 points today, why didn't 25 nights give me 25 points at conversion time. Am I over simplifying this?

You’re right David, it’s almost like you were “punished” for taking longer cruises. I never really gave it much thought because we were “grandfathered” as Diamond when they made the change due to the number of cruises we’d been on, but a lot of our early cruises were 2, 3 or 4 nights long so we probably had an advantage in the conversion versus the number of nights we’d actually sailed at the time.

They probably can’t do much, but it wouldn’t hurt to politely mention your frustration to the Loyalty Ambassador next time you’re on board (or every time you’re on board). You never know when you’ll get the right person who’s sympathetic to your situation.

Happy cruising!
