Yes, the curtain hides the entrance and the two Doors for the toilet and the shower. At least there are doors, even with milkglass.

Sounds like you are having a fabulous cruise, Jan!  Glad that you are kind of doing your own thing and taking exhaustion into account; we were totally exhausted by the end of our Med cruise...but have to admit, we saw amazing things!  Loved the Academia in Florence - seeing the "real" David is a MUST!  I was also struck buy the sculptures of the Prisoners.  We crossed the bridge, but didn't have time to shop; I did manage to secure a sweet leather cross-body bag in Amalfi, though.  Cannes was great - our guide also pointed out the oil sheik's yacht.  We picked out a nifty "little" black one that we could call our own....if we win the Power Ball, lol!  We did make it to the Monte Carlo Casino and had a great time sitting in the outdoor cafe and watching the fabulous cars pull up.  Life is but a dream, eh?  Picturing the description of the stateroom is somewhat amusing and somewhat frightening, ha!  Not sure that would be for me.........

Glad to hear you like the Vision, Jackie - have looked at some cruises on her, but didn't know whether she was a thumbs up or a nyeh.

Med. cruises are port intensive and, yes, exhausting - especially the 7-day cruises like this one. With David’s limited walking and my lack of stamina these days, we’ve started focusing on one or two things in port, rather than try to see everything, and it’s working very well.

Thanks for the pic, Trizi. Photos are taking too long to load here, but I’ll be posting more in the photo album section when I get home. Yes, that is accurate, and keep in mind there is little room to separate the bed into twins. A few inches, at most. So, fellow cruisers cruising with your BFF - you better really like each other!

The curtain is nice when one is in the cabin or on the balcony and the other using the facilities, but if one person is in the shower and the other is using the commode, frosted glass still doesn’t hide much.?

Yes I feel the same as you Jan about this setup - not perfect for such a small space in my opinion. Also don't like that the shower or toilet are only behind milk glass and right in the doorway.  I have been known to be in the shower (in enclosed bathroom) while hubby receives room service ........ this setup would not fly!!

Just winding up our day in Palma de Mallorca. We booked a 4-hour tour with the ship at the last minute, of Palma and the small, pretty town of Valdemossa in the surrounding mountains. Another place to add to my re-visit list, especially Valdemossa, a very charming and beautiful place with nice shops and cafes. We had sangria, almond cake - two island specialties and bought our gifts for folks back home. The highlight, though, were the pearl earrings David bought for me!?

So glad you had a good day. Valdemossa sounds appealing - I must say I would prefer to have stops without so many highrise buildings/people.  I wish the cruise lines would start incorporating more charming village type stops and less large cities - even if we would have to tender.

I agree, Jackie. That’s why the Amalfi Coast towns are so appealing, right? Speaking of Amalfi Coast, have you been to Ravello? One small group tour I was on a few years ago took us there as part of a Positano-Pompeii tour, and it was so quaint and quiet - most cruise ships don’t go there, and it’s so peaceful without the crowds,?

It’s our last night of the cruise, and tomorrow we head back to Barcelona for a night at Hotel Pulitzer. If anyone’s stayed here, I’d appreciate your thoughts. If it’s anywhere near as good as Hotel Jazz was for our pre-cruise stay, I’ll be very happy.

It’s been a great week in the Mediterranean. Even the cloudy, rainy weather predicted never materialized, and we had nearly perfect days all week. We had a cruise full of beautiful new places and some great new experiences.

Look for my full review and photos sometime this week.

See you land-side!

Yes Jan been to Ravello three times!  Absolutely love it. There is a small "mom & pop" restaurant (not advertised) up on the top of the mountain (lots of steps) that is out of this world. they keep bringing another course and another course ..... the food is out of this world ... finishing the meal with the obligatory Limoncello - stunning view and food!!!
