Americans are truly so friendly, especially here in the south.   When we immigrated here 25 years ago that was one of the draw cards for us. We would go for walks on Key West and every person who passed us would say "How are you doing today?".... we were blown away because South Africans can be pretty reserved. Yes Kiwi's were definitely more reserved than the Aussies. I am so happy to be an American!!!

I’m glad you found your happy place.

I was born and raised in Chicago and we moved to the burbs in 1979 and tried to make a good choice inre to schools, living conditions and so on. A few mos. ago our suburb was rated the best overall in Illinois which pleasantly surprised me. Some of that is due to relatively lower real estate taxes as we have a lot of businesses and one of the biggest malls in the country. Of course we have winters too. ?.

Overall we are happy and I’m happy to be an American too.
