Norwegian Cruise Line just announced a themed cruise that is sure to capture the hearts of Jon Bon Jovi fans. In collaboration with Runaway Tours and Sixthman, the cruise line is hosting two four-day “Runaway to Paradise” cruises in spring and summer 2019.

Norwegian Jade will sail from Miami to Nassau from April 12-16, 2019, and Norwegian Pearl will sail from Barcelona to Palma, Majorca from August 26-30, 2019. Both sailings promise memorable and up-close immersive experiences with the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and Grammy® Award winner. At each port, Bon Jovi and his 11-piece Kings of Suburbia band will join guests on the ship’s pool deck for a full rock concert at night. Other musical sets are also planned with to-be-announced supporting performers.

Along with extraordinary music by Bon Jovi and friends, guests will be able to relax, and enjoy the ports and onboard amenities of these Jewel-class ships. In addition, guests will have opportunities to:

  • Interact with and ask questions of the superstar at an acoustic storyteller set,
  • Hear panelists who have been involved in Bon Jovi’s storied career,
  • Sip John and (his son) Jesse Bongiovi’s new wine, Hampton Water rosé,
  • Visit the Jon Bon Jovi Gallery onboard, featuring historic memorabilia, and
  • Receive a souvenir autographed event lithograph.

An onboard pop-up restaurant on both sailings, The JBJ Soul Kitchen, will allow guests to enjoy a meal while they "give back." The restaurant is an offshoot of the two philanthropic community kitchens created in New Jersey by the star and his wife, Dorothea, that have served some 80,000 meals to those in need.

“Ever since we started Runaway Tours, it’s given me such joy to entertain and tell stories of where my songs came from, says Jon Bon Jovi, in a press release issued by Norwegian. “What I’ve realized after all these years is that my fans have found that these are not only my stories, but their own.”

Each of the Norwegian Jewel class ships can accommodate upwards of 2,400 guests; both staterooms and public spaces on Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Pearl were recently refurbished in 2017. Double occupancy rates for the "Runaway To Paradise" cruises begin at $1,895 (USD) per person for the Caribbean sailing, and $2,221 (USD) per person for the Mediterranean sailing, plus taxes and fees.

“Norwegian and Sixthman have a long and successful history of bringing immersive entertainment and music festivals to sea,” says Andy Stuart president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Our brand is dedicated to providing world-class entertainment to our guests, and we are excited to be hosting 'Runaway To Paradise' with rock icon Jon Bon Jovi aboard our stunning ships, Norwegian Jade and Pearl. The popularity of Norwegian’s and Sixthman’s curated vacations continues to grow and we are looking forward to another exceptional production for our guests to enjoy.”

Guests booking the first 400 staterooms on each ship will also get a photo op with the multi-talented singer-songwriter, actor, producer and philanthropist. For the best selection of staterooms, fans are encouraged to register for the cruise pre-sale at runawaytoparadise.com/
