Liberty Sept 16-20

My husband and I are taking Carnival Liberty Sept 16-20, going to nassau and princess cays. We have already been to nassau, so we have an idea of what we want to do there, but it looks like there are not too many options for Princess Cays, and the reviews are kind of iffy. Can anyone recommend an excursion? Or, is there a spot where we could go and hang on the beach without doing an excursion?

Congrats on your upcoming cruise! I think it all depends on what you’re looking for. It’s not as extensive as some of the other private islands, but for me, it’s great. I just need a chair in a spot of shade and I’m good. You don’t need to spend money on an excursion or anything else unless you want a cabana or a boat rental, etc. Get off the ship early and you’ll have your pick of loungers on the beach, free of charge. The BBQ is free, but you still have to pay for drinks. The snorkeling isn’t bad, and I bring my own gear. Here is the best guide you’ll find anywhere: https://www.tomsportguides.com/uploads/5/8/5/4/58547429/princesscays-01-20-2015.pdf

Have fun!

We have been to Princess Cay numerous times but, like Jan, we just usually set up shop on the beach.  We do purchase a clamshell so that we have the capability for shade as well as sun, and we do enjoy getting in the water there.  I must say though....Half Moon Cay is nicer, if you have been there.........
