    St. Kitts 600,000 Passengers

St Kitts welcomed over 600,000 cruise ship passengers to its shores last year with a record 102,674 passengers visiting the Caribbean island in December alone

According to the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority, 305 cruise liners carrying 600,131 passengers sailed into St Kitts in 2011, reflecting growth of nearly 40 per cent in two years.

Consequently, an estimated EC$30.1 million (US$11.1 million) was pumped into the St Kitts and Nevis economy by passengers, the Government reported.

Bringing in the most passengers were Carnival Cruise Line (194,516), Royal Caribbean International (109,774) and Celebrity Cruise Lines (109,774)
