  1. Enjoy your back to backs, Roger. Would love to hear how it is when you return.
  2. Just returned this morning from a 3 day cruise on Majesty of the Seas. It was a very relaxing cruise and a very enjoyable weekend. We were lucky- the weather was absolutely perfect. We were thrilled that for a 3 day cruise, there were 2 port days- Cococay and Nassau. What thrilled us about the port days was that , since we don't get off the ship, we had a nice big little yacht to ourselves. Some of you might think we're crazy, but for us, the ship is the destination. The reason for this weekend cruise was just to relax and that we did plenty of. The food was great, as always. The shows were so- so, entertaining, but they don't , in any way, compare to the glitz and glamor of the Carnival shows. The band that played in Boleros was dynamite. Not only did they do the usual Latin music, but also a mix of 50's, 60's and 70's music. The service in the Windjammer, where we ate all our meals, was outstanding. Whenever our favorite ship, the Liberty of the Seas , is doing the Mediterranean, we sail the Majesty . It was very enjoyable and we'll probably sail her again during the summer, before the Liberty returns. Since I've already done reviews on the Majesty , I won't be doing another review right now, but if anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to post them here.
  3. We're Diamond members and we love the perks. We enjoy the appetizers in the Diamond Club , we enjoy the little basket of cookies and fruit snack and, especially , the coupon book that enables us to get a couple of professional photos for free. We also like the special debarkation treatment that we just found out about on our last cruise. Also, we get some kind of pastry or eclairs , or something of that nature delivered to the cabin.

  17. Welcome to CruiseCrazies, CLC. Great question. My suggestion would be to dress in layers if it's cool , instead of taking along a coat, which would take up a lot of room in your suitcase. I would take a long sleeve shirt, maybe a cotton turtleneck or something like that to wear under the long sleeve shirt. I would pack a sweater to put on top of them. That way, if it's warmer later in the day, you can take off the sweater and not have to carry around a coat. Just my opinion. Hope to see you posting often in the forums. Also, if you need a packing list, check out ours. It includes just about everything imaginable.

  21. No worries, Jan. I think it all depends - everyone has their priorities. Wayne and I stopped drinking soda about 4 years ago so we save in that area. We always get the Diamond member free photo so we don't have to pay for that so we always come home with a photo. We don't eat in the specialty restaurant because we love the food in the Windjammer and I like sampling all the dishes I don't eat at home and trying new things. So, we don't do a lot of extras and save on that. However, Wayne always buys me a nice bag or piece of jewelry. To me, that's more important than the other things. We all have different priorities. So, for someone on a tight budget, I think your tips are great. Scottlara, thanks for posting. We, also, need that photo and, as I said above, that trinket, the bracelet or bag or something as a token of my cruise, but, many of the extras are just not important to us. It's great to see you posting and hope to see you posting often in the forums. Welcome to CruiseCrazies.
