Anyone joining us on this eight day after New Year cruise on the repurposed Carnival Victory to the ports of Curacao, Aruba and Grand Turk?
We cruised on the Victory in Dec of 2001.

Thanks Andi! I will be just a few days shy of 74 when I retire so I think it's about time!
On another note we just booked 17 days (2 B2B cruises) on the Norwegian Jade for early Jan 2021. we will spend New Year with the family in St Johns (Jacksonville) and then drive to Tampa for our cruise.

I, Keith came back home after the B2B cruises on the Glory with bronchitis which has taken more than a month to get over. My stepfather is struggling with his health right now so we cancelled our next cruise which was a cruise on the Ecstasy out of Jacksonville in April. We don't want to be on the high seas in case he takes a turn for the worse. Our youngest daughter and her family moved to Jacksonville last year. Our 10 year granddaughter who acted in some plays and did a TV commercial in our home town landed a bit part in a Netflix movie filmed in Jacksonville. It's supposed to be released sometime in March.
Right now we don't have any cruises booked but we are currently looking for an extended cruise for Jan 2021 since I will finally be retired.

Hi Folks,
No doubt many of you have been to the wonderful island of St. Thomas. We took the Skyride to the hill overlooking the harbour last time and WOW what a view. A photographer's paradise! However the very BEST thing on the top of that mountain is the BAILEY'S BUSHWACKER! This is an absolutely incredible cocktail made up with close to 9 different liquors with Bailey's Irish Cream at the base. I have never tasted anything like that anywhere. The ship tried to emulate it but their drink didn't come close. My wife Donna who is a very light drinker with maybe a Bailey's twice a year, thought this BB was out of this world! In fact she had a second one and almost danced her way back to the ship!!! So if you do take the Skyride on your next trip to St. Thomas, do try this fabulous drink at the bar-you'll never forget it!
Regards,
James.
We went to Paradise Point last month for their great Banana Daiquiri!

I'd love to sail out of Charleston and check that off my list. Unfortunately, I've used up all my vacation time. Have a great cruise!
This will be our first trip to Charleston. We haven't been to the Eastern Caribbean in a few years so we are looking forward to this trip and cruise.

Those are the best port of calls! Our favorite has to be Cozumel. Our last trip we did a snorkeling tour and had a great time. We found a useful guide a couple years ago about what to do in Cozumel mexico and did the private JEEP tour our first trip which was fantastic.
On our very first trip to Cozumel in 1998 we booked a "Jeep" tour and when we got there it was Geo Trackers! One of the worse 4-drive vehicles ever produced. In spite of that we had a great time touring the island.

We've not noticed a difference between the two and also on Carnival for mixed drinks. They all seem about the same. However on our most recent RCI cruise they offered us a better discount for booking the drink package on line.

Congratulations Larry on your new booking!

Jan, we did have a very good cruise, or should I say 2 good cruises. I won't be writing a review as my mother passed away 4 days after we returned. home. It's been a hectic time since. The ship was nice, the crew was great and the food was okay. The only port we liked was Key West but we knew that when we booked. All in all it was a great winter getaway. The Filipino band aboard was great. After about 10 days on the ship I realized I recognized their style of music. I recognized the lead singer/guitarist from the old HAL Westerdam we cruised in 1998. I went on line and pulled up a photo from our Shutterfly account taken of us on the dance floor with the band in the background and it was him. When I showed him the photo he choked up a little as it was his first gig with his 4 brothers who made up the band at that time. Since then one brother had passed away and all the others except him have quit the music business. Twenty years later his present band is still playing the same type of great dance music.
