  1. Mebert, I see you figured out your clock(s). Good job!
  2. No docs for Frank--Rita will have to put up with just me for 11 days! :D
  3. We received our cruise documents today--and we are dancing! :D :D
  4. This will be a new port for us on our Horizon cruise. Has any Cruisecrazies been there, and do you have recommendations for what to do? Also, Rita wants to know how is the shopping? :o
  5. back from your cruise and back to CruiseCrazies TVLady2 B) B)
  6. Have a great-great cruise MissP!! B) B)
  7. Our gambling boats are now dockside. No more trips down the Ohio River. The trips consisted of pulling forward about a half mile and then backing up all the way back to the dock. If the boat turned it would illegally be in Kentucky waters! Indiana just approved another riverboat license for French Lick--only problem they don't have a river for the boat. They are going to build a man-made lake to float it. :P :P
  8. Use it to tape the mouth shut of the born complainer who is not happy about anything on the cruise.
  9. We take from 75 to 100 (3 to 4 rolls) of film on a 7 day cruise. We have them developed on a CD as well as film. We also take a video camera. A couple of cruises ago we bought a digital miniDV in St. Thomas that also takes digital stills. We can convert video stills off the film at a later date. This camera was stolen on our last cruise with video of Keith parasailing over Half Moon Cay and the Zaandam. We replaced it thru e-bay--but, of course, not the film. We have met a lot of people on our cruises and have shared photos over the years thru our photo site: http://members2.clubphoto.com/keithrita209115/guest-1.phtml
  10. >>No matter what, you have a cabin...YOU ARE ONBOARD ...with your sweetie....sailing away...that is all that matters! You all like those sunsets like we do and you can see them better on the top deck, LOL. rccruisers, We like your style!
  11. Our next cruise on the Horizon is the first cruise we booked direct with the cruise line and without a TA. Has anybody else booked direct? There was not a lot to choose from so, instead of taking one of the remaining inside cabins in the lower 'steerage' decks, we choose an outside cabin with an obstructed view, on a mid ship deck. Instead of opening our curtain to a bare wall, we get to look at a lifeboat! The main thing however, is WE WILL BE ABOARD! Has any other CruiseCrazies ever booked an obstructed view cabin? We were just wondering. :o :o
  12. We revived this thread from the old forum: In our case it was our delayed honeymoon, eight months after the fact in 1997, on the Carnival Sensation. After typing in 'cruise' in CompuServe we ended up on a cruise bash with a group of about 75 folks from all over the US and Canada, and including one couple from Belgium. About half of us met each other for the first time in a hotel bar in Miami the night before the cruise. The party continued for seven more days! Our first night on board we slept until 3:00 p.m. The rocking motion of the ship caused us to sleep like babies! We still get razed about that to this day!
  13. That is the worst part of a cruise--the ending, and then back to the treadmill and the diet! Yuk!
  14. Rita's is St. Thomas for the beaches and the shopping. Mine is Juneau and the Red Dog Saloon!
  15. No repeats for us, however, the Veendam, Maasdam, and Statendam seemed like clones!
  16. Same here, We will be doing the same cruise for New Years and will be very interested in how it went. Smooth sailing to you!
