  1. No, but if one wanted to have it set that way, why not? It depends on the sofa. Do yourself a favor and let it be part of the adventure. We always pack VERY light. We did a 7 day Western on the Enchantment, pre-stretch days, with legal airline carry on two each. I also had a RCCL tote bag as well with the swim stuff and the wife had a medium sized purse with her cosmetics. We eat in the Windjammer so have no need to "wear once clothing".
  2. It opens another niche and maybe eases the party animal problems for more sedate cruisers. For me, I would love to spend the night at some of the places we visit, like Key West at Christmas time, to see the lights again. We hit that on The Grandeur in '04 and it was awesome. It could also force some of the ports to lighten up and allow access or lose the revenue to other countries.
