  1. Can't wait to read that review, we booked the Legend of the Seas for next spring, 14 days from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale. Will check back soon to see if you have posted it.
  2. Definitely, they seemed to have handled this nasty situation very well. I am sure that some got miffed over the changes that had to be made, I just wish they realized that it is all for their safety. Hang on, here comes Ivan. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  3. I have noticed over the years that the older ships pools look more like tubs where as the newer ones have a different approach. Remember, they have got to have something to keep the water from splashing out onto the deck in rough seas. Best way to find out if the cruise you are interested in has an exceptable pool is to go to one of the virtual tour sites and get a 360* view of the pool area. That will let you know if you are going to have a big tub or a nice pool area.
  4. If you are prepared, you should have a wonderful time. Normally when an island is hit very hard by a hurricane, they will substitute a different port. With all of these Hurricanes around this past few weeks, many cruises are visiting places they never intended on going. Some (most) that booked the Eastern Caribbean ended up in the Western to avoid potential problems last week. Hang in there and just go with an open mind. You will get to visit some ports but it just might be a TBA (to be announced) thing as the first and highest priority of the Cruise line is to keep their passengers safe. And enjoy that first cruise, you will love it.
  5. This is a huge topic about the Caribbean Princess. Right now the pools on the CP are NOT open 24 hours. Hopefully that will change since school is in session and there will be fewer children onboard. We sailed on the CP two weeks ago and I can understand Princess doing this on this ship, there are A LOT of kids onboard, at least during the summer months and since there are no life guards and it is harder to keep watch in the evening, they don't want anything happening to the kids.
