  1. My next cruise is Adventures of the Seas 10/03/04. Counting the months.
  2. I always opt for early seating. The one time I did have a late seating by the time dinner came around I was no longer hungry.

  5. Godfrey is a guy in St. Thomas who I met through some other cruisers on-line who does tours in St. Thomas. We were met at the ship at a time pre-arranged by e-mail. We were picked up at 10 a.m. in an open air bus type jeep which seated 15 people, driven to the shopping district, taken on a tour of the island with stops for pictures, driven to the top of a mountain with a small shopping mall and a bar proclaiming to have the best Banana Rum drinks in St. Thomas. From there we went to Coki Beach and some other guests chose to go to Sapphire Beach. They'll take you to the beach of your choice. We were picked up from the beach around 3:45 and taken back to the ship. Payment for this excursion was $20.00 per person. I heard others say they hired a cab to do the same thing, but Godfrey and his assistant Timmy came highly recommended and showed us the best time we could have in a little less than 6 hours.

  7. Hello everyone! I had a ball. :D The weather was beautiful. Now that I'm back home and it's preparing to snow or something I'm wishing for my own Groundhog Week. (remember the movie where the actor kept repeating the same day over and over again). Anyway embarkation was quite painful with the change from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale :( . Met up with some folk I had been chatting with on another board. Did Godfrey's tour in St. Thomas, I would go there again for a week's stay if they had a casino. Lost lots of money in the casino on the ship, just couldn't stop feeding them slots. Ate like a true pig. Did one formal night and it was oh so elegant. Snorkeled for the first time and I absolutely will do it again. Bought some island wear in St. Thomas and picked up my some crystal and marble turtles (I collect them) in St. Maarten. My room steward was excellent. The dining room waiter needed an attitude adjustment, but I still ate til I was stuffed. Couldn't win at bingo, but played every time. Went to Senor Frog's in Puerto Rico, had a good time. Debarkation was uneventful except for it being almost as cold in Miami as it is here in DC. I had such a good time that I was looking to book a Western Caribbean cruise for March but think it more sensible to do it again next fall.
