  1. My next cruise is Adventures of the Seas 10/03/04. Counting the months.
  2. I always opt for early seating. The one time I did have a late seating by the time dinner came around I was no longer hungry.

  5. Godfrey is a guy in St. Thomas who I met through some other cruisers on-line who does tours in St. Thomas. We were met at the ship at a time pre-arranged by e-mail. We were picked up at 10 a.m. in an open air bus type jeep which seated 15 people, driven to the shopping district, taken on a tour of the island with stops for pictures, driven to the top of a mountain with a small shopping mall and a bar proclaiming to have the best Banana Rum drinks in St. Thomas. From there we went to Coki Beach and some other guests chose to go to Sapphire Beach. They'll take you to the beach of your choice. We were picked up from the beach around 3:45 and taken back to the ship. Payment for this excursion was $20.00 per person. I heard others say they hired a cab to do the same thing, but Godfrey and his assistant Timmy came highly recommended and showed us the best time we could have in a little less than 6 hours.

  7. Hello everyone! I had a ball. :D The weather was beautiful. Now that I'm back home and it's preparing to snow or something I'm wishing for my own Groundhog Week. (remember the movie where the actor kept repeating the same day over and over again). Anyway embarkation was quite painful with the change from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale :( . Met up with some folk I had been chatting with on another board. Did Godfrey's tour in St. Thomas, I would go there again for a week's stay if they had a casino. Lost lots of money in the casino on the ship, just couldn't stop feeding them slots. Ate like a true pig. Did one formal night and it was oh so elegant. Snorkeled for the first time and I absolutely will do it again. Bought some island wear in St. Thomas and picked up my some crystal and marble turtles (I collect them) in St. Maarten. My room steward was excellent. The dining room waiter needed an attitude adjustment, but I still ate til I was stuffed. Couldn't win at bingo, but played every time. Went to Senor Frog's in Puerto Rico, had a good time. Debarkation was uneventful except for it being almost as cold in Miami as it is here in DC. I had such a good time that I was looking to book a Western Caribbean cruise for March but think it more sensible to do it again next fall.

  9. For my upcoming cruise I booked about one month ago. I really want to book while I'm on board the ship for next year, but I want to make sure if the price drops I'll be eligible for refunds and if this certificate I'm holding is good for on-board booking. Actually, I think anytime I am able is a good time.
  10. We've only cruised twice in November but one of the things I've experienced and expect to encounter again this time is rough seas on the way back to the States. With it being cold already here I'm really betting we'll have rough seas. Got my dramamine though.
  11. My favorite itinerary is anything Carribean. Although I haven't done it yet, the Southern Carribean sounds like it may be the best.
  12. The ponytail holders with the big balls. I use neon green and I went to the dollar store and bought the stretchy head bands that come in bright colors and I tie them on the handles -- purple, yellow, and green.
  13. Alcohol can get expensive so on my cruise this time over the past two months I have ordered drink coupons, pre-paid for three bottles of dinner wine, ordered two bottles of champagne and I will be bringing onboard some Remy and Alize. Booze can be very expensive and this will be my first time trying this. I want to see how low I can keep my bar tab. We only drink alcohol during vacation. Our land vacations are not that expensive since we own two time shares and are exchange members.
