  1. Love the bedding on Carnival...............like marshmallows
  2. We always take the insurance. Don't forget not only for delays and cancellations. God forbid you had to be airlifted off the ship I heard the helicopter ride alone is like 30,000. We always get our insurance from Carnival.......Just peace of mind.............We are also automatically insured for luggage and trip delays on flights from American Express but I think because of our ages (64) you never know what can happen on board. 3. Jason......................that is awesome !!!!
  4. Title :: 1-10-08 Author :: teacp Category :: Carnival Miracle Information :: This was probably the best cruise yet. I don't know if it was because we just needed the rest after all we have been through this past six months. Description :: Southern Caribbean Embarkation We got to Ft. Lauderdale on 1-09-08 and stayed at the Comfort Inn near the airport. Very nice hotel and walking distance to the mall and restaurants. We took the hotel shuttle to the port the next morning and it was uneventful. When we got to the port there was a very long line which surprised us as we had never encountered that before. It moved rather quickly and we were on board by noon having lunch. Cabin Our stateroom was 4241 which was an aft balacony cabin. As usual we were pleased with the cabin and our stewards Carlos and Richard were very pleasant and accomadating. The Ship The Miracle is a beautiful ship and spotless. It seemed someone was always cleaning something. The grapes in the dining room are a little overwhelming at first but you get used to them. We had a booth for two at the late seating which was great as that is what we wanted this time. Our dining staff was a hoot. We had Antonia as our head server and she was a sweetheart. She is getting married in June to a colleague. Her assistants name was Zoltan and he was a riot. Every night when the entertainment started after dinner he would grab me and dance with me. We enjoyed our dining experience and as usual the food was great. Ken had his usual Quail, Duck, Lamb and Veal so he was a happy camper. We got picked for the Newlywed/not so newlywed game and that was a lot of fun. We had one problem. We had the aft balcony on the main deck and someone above us was smoking a cigar(youcould smell it) and kept flicking the ashes over railing and landing on our balcony. We would find matches and ashes out there every morning. One afternoon Ken and I were out there playing cards and down come the ashes. Well Ken had had it and yelled up to please use an ashtray. There are signs posted right there on the balcony about just that. Debarkation Carnival has the new number coding instead of color. I was wondering how they were going to do that being we printed ours off the internet and the luggage tags are now all blue. They leave tags with a number on it the night before the end of the cruise and tell you to put them on your luggage. Our number was 21 so you just wait in the morning till they call your number and that is when you disembark. When you get into the terminal you look for your number on the wall and that is where your luggage should be. Ours was in the proper place. We were off the ship by ten and at hailed a cab to the airport and were there by 10:30. We had a great cruise and the Miracle is awesome View Review

  7. We booked our tours through Carnival so I don't know how much help I would be. The first time we went to St. Maarten we took the land/sea excursion which was a catamaran tour of the island. When we where done with that we got off the catamaran and boarded swiss army jeeps for a tour of the island and last stop was a few hours on Orient Beach. The second time we went back (last month) we took the Little Divi Bay Beach resort excursion which was awesome. A relaxing day on the beach at the resort with a barbecue on the beach. A beautiful spotless place with shops and jets skis and other fun things to do. St. Lucia we took the best views of St. Lucia tour and that was very nice although I wasn't that impressed with St. Lucia as I thought I would be. St. Maarten and St. Kitts were by far the most beautiful. Don't know what your interests are but hoped I helped. p.s. We ALWAYS book through Carnival. It may be a few dollars more but it is worth it to not worry about getting back to the ship on time................
  8. Wishing you all the best on your birthday DestinyinDec..................enjoy your special day
  9. Oh Jackie I know it was not funny at the time but what a funny memory...........
  10. We are all used to them telling us at debarkation talks not to forget to leave out clothes for the morning. Well Ken and I were heading down to the atrium to wait for our number to be called and the elevator doors opened and there is a man in a Carnival bathrobe socks and shoes. Ken said"did you forget to leave out pants?" The wife said he didn't forget I did..............It was the funniest thing I ever saw........He said well I guess I will have to purchase the bathrobe and dig some clothes out of my suitcase after we get through customs. He made our day to say the least. He looked so comical walking through the ship like that.
  11. For me it is Dinner and for Ken it is Breakfast as he likes his made to order omelets. Also at dinner he has all the items he does not get at home............Lamb,Quail, Duck etc. He makes sure he has at least those three things on every cruise............We also like to try the different soups that we don't have at home.
  12. Wow Marylou..............what an exciting trip to look forward to.........before you know it will be here...........
  13. Thanks everyone.........Tonia you are so right and we are really going to enjoy this one........things could have turned out very differently for us. Both Ken and I will be celebrating our birthdays on this cruise so it is extra special............Mine the day we leave on the 10th and his the 13th...............

  19. Our fifth cruise is coming up and we have been upgraded three times. The first time we went from an OV to a balcony and of course they know exactly what they are doing. The second two times we were upgraded to an aft balcony.........So of course we loved it and on our upcoming we have an aft balcony also. I don't know if this is true but our travel planner told us that she doesn't have to give a TA commision so she can give us the upgrades.
  20. I don't drink so probably an Iced Tea or Diet coke..............
  21. Hope you are having the best time......................
  22. Happy Birthday DisneyCamper..............A special wish for your birthday......
