  1. Well, being new and not having any idea, I signed up for early dinner. I was about to think I made the wrong choice but Cathy, (caitlyn20), just convinced me maybe I got it right...*lol* I too am an early riser so I think I will like the early dinner better. I'll know for sure in a month...
  2. MikenBec, You logic makes sense to me and that is what I was thinking when I booked my inside room. Especially with me traveling alone I sure don't plan to spend a lot of time in my room. I hope you two have a wonderful trip, and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cathy, You convinced me! An experienced cruiser like you should know...so I think I made the right choice in getting an inside cabin. What you said about a single traveler not spending mush time inside the cabin makes sense to me! Thanks for your input!
  3. Thanks, Jason! To a rookie like myself I see a lot of things on the list that I never would have thought of. Things like bug repellant, address labels or cards to give to new acquaintances, slipping a note with my name and address inside my luggage, etc. Oh yeah...and thanks for the reminder about underwear...I am only going on a 5 day cruise but maybe I should take a pair in case I do need to change them once... In all seriousness...the list is very helpful to a rookie. The people on this site are so great, helpful, positive, and upbeat...makes me anxious to soon be able to join the "cruisin crowd". Happy, and safe, holidays to each of you and your families!

  5. Thank ya, Caitlyn20! Your post was informative and reassuring. I am looking forward to this more and more...partly thanks to all the nice folks here at cruisecrazies! Ya'll are the best!
  6. Thank you, sailinglisa! I appreciate the comments and advice. It is reassuring to hear from others that have already done this and enjoyed it! I am looking forward to it very much.
  7. Great info, DaCruzNut! I appreciate it!
  8. Hi, all. Kewl sight here! My hat is off to all that make it so. I am 50 yrs old, and currently single. I am taking baby steps here..with my first cruise, which I have for many years wanted to do, scheduled to leave Jan 31, 2005 from Mobile, AL. It is a 5 day cruise to Couzumel and some other near by place. (I forget exactly where... I told ya I was 50...). Any way, any tips, advice, suggestions would be most welcome. I am sure I will have fun, but as with anything new there is a tad bit of apprehension to go along with the excitement. Since I am by myself I booked a single cabin inside. All I plan to do is sleep in it...and oh yeah...and maybe take a shower. An outside cabin would be nice if I was with someone but since I am not, and this is my first, like I said, I am taking baby steps. Any comments...advice...criticism????
