I'll be booking my first cruise soon. Taking the Carnival Pride to the Mexican Riviera in January 2006. We will be docking in Cabo San Lucas, Puerta Vallarta and Mazatlan. Has anyone been on this cruise? Any tips or advice? Did you like the ship - food/service etc.? What excursions did you go on?

Thanks Sue! One more question. What do they do with those in wheelchairs for the muster drill? This person is capable of walking just hard to do stairs if avoidable. Could we just take our life jackets and be at our station at the given time?

Can someone tell me about the embarkation process in Long Beach? I am traveling with someone who has a bad knee and can't do stairs very well. Are there any stairs or escalators to tackle? If so, is there an alternative (elevator)? Also, what happens during the muster drill? Will my companion have to tackle the steps to get to the proper muster station?
