thanks Suzila. I missed that review earlier, and it was thorough. Since this might be our one and only Hawaii trip, it sounds like this cruise, coupled with some pre/post time in Honolulu would be enough to see all the sights.

has anyone taken the Hawaian Island cruise on NCL lines? what is the expert opinion on the cruise, ship, itenerary, etc is it a better deal than picking a hotel and island hopping?

thanks Joey. that is a BIG help. I will start my research now! I also notice on another posting the name of Shoretrips.com. I will look into that also. Don't know anything about them. Obviously I am not a "cruiser", so any help goes a long way!!!!

thanks for the fast feedback. any help on where you found your sources for excursions? how do you know they are safe?

taking Carnival cruise in Jan 06 that includes Jamaica. is it safe to go it alone on shore excursions? can you save any money by trying to book excursions with people other than cruise line? will only be there one day, but would like to do the Falls and swim with dolphins.
