Thanks to everyone for you welcome messages, and especially to Joanandjoe for the Libya links. When the Mediterranian cruise season ended in the late fall the situation in Libya was up in the air. Several cruises lines' ships had been denied debarkation for U.S. citizens because some Libyian diplomat had been slighted in the U.S. By the time our cruse comes around in September it should have been resolved, we'll either go to Tripoli or some alternate port...Que sera,sera Downwind

I stumbled upon CruiseCrazies just today while seeking information on Tripoli, Libya. We're booked on the Rotterdam in September and one of the ports-of-call is Tripoli, Libya. I can't seem to find any reviews of Tripoli. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? This will be our second Mediterranian cruise but I don't think it will be our last. Five years ago we were on the old Noordam (Lisbon to Rome) and had a terrific time. We cruised the Mexican Riveria over Thanksgiving and have just recently posted our review at http://www.cruisecrazies.com/reviews/hal/ryndam/review=1.php .
