Lake Michigan would be very convenient for me. I always say that I wouldn't switch cruise lines, but if it's nearby, that's a different story.

We are a wait and "sea"! I would LOVE to take a cruise next year. Hopefully things work out and we are able to do this.

Dead Whale Found on Bow of Sapphire Princess

Jason- thanks for the video- (I think). It kind of made me a little sick. This is truly awful. Poor whale. What a horrible experience for the captain, crew, and passengers. It makes me wonder if something of this nature has ever happened before. -

On the morning of July 25, the Sapphire Princess was docking in Vancouver when a dead whale was found on the bulbous bow section of the ship. This is the part of the ship that cuts through the water. This was a shocking and sad discovery as the Sapphire Princess did not report seeing any whales on their voyage. Had whales been seen, the avoidance procedures of natural wildlife would have taken place. This includes altering course and reducing speed. The Canadian Coast Guard and Department of Fisheries and Oceans have been notified and Princess is cooperating to the fullest extent.

Yesterday was the big day for the major site change for Cruise Crazies. It now reflects more of a social networking site. It is pretty user friendly once you get the hang of it. Just start by posting a photo and updating your profile. The What's new page shows you the feeds for what's going on at Cruise Crazies. It will tell you when people became friends, if someone made a new group, if someone posted a poll, etc. The more you use the new site, the more familiar it will become.

I know. It makes me miss cruising so much, too! Like it's an addiction lately and I can't get my fix! There are a lot of people on here who have no cruise planned for the future. It's gotta be the economy. I love your profile pic of us! I can't update anything pic related b/c I'm still in LA. All my pics are on my computer at home. Glad you joined the new site.

Yes, foreign relations is a big deal. However, I would really love to visit Cuba one day. My dad tells me stories of when his parents visited there. My cruise begins when I gaze at the ship from afar. I love the sight of the enormity of the ship. Gives me goosebumps. Anyway, I'm with Jacketwatch on the cold watch. The 20 to 30 below wind chills are brutal. I'm a teacher and school is canceled tomorrow. I'd much rather be baksing in the sun.
