  1. Hi Crazies! Just thought I'd pop in for a minute. It sounds like all the moms had a good Mother's Day. I know I did. It was also my son Evin's 29th birthday. You are all putting me to shame with your diets and fitness routines - LOL! Because of my back issues, about the only workout I get is walking. Miranda, I love your emoji. It looks just like you ? Jan, I'm afraid a cruise is out for us, for 2019. We're planning a Paris trip but not sure when. Also, some road trips are in the works. I hope everyone's well. Have a good evening.
  2. So glad you got to attend MaryLou's funeral. I too met them on a cruise in 2009 and also met up with them while we were in NYC a few years back. Since then we've had our daily chats on Facebook. I'm still in disbelief. I'm going to miss her terribly. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Thanks Jason. I also heard this sad news from Rose today. I met MaryLou on the "Connie Goes Crazy Cruise" in 2009 and have been "chatting" with her and Rose, every day ever since. A great lady that will be sorely missed. My condolences to Jim and family.
  4. Good morning Crazies! I'm still not back into routine yet. I'll get there soon enough, I guess. Andi, we had a trickle of water come into our cabin too, during the infamous sailaway storm. That was scary. So good to meet you and Ed. Shari, it sounds like your weather is a lot like ours. The past few days, we can finally see that Spring is sprung. MaryLou, I know how much you're looking forward to Bermuda. It won't be long now. Miranda, we just started using our "Holland" napkins ☺ Zack opened them up and said, "Why are we saving these? We may as well use them." LOL! Glad you had smooth travels home. Jan, I hope you're feeling better. I'm getting ready for another trip. I'm going to Des Moines, Iowa to visit with relatives and go camping with my cousin (in a camper/trailer) for 3 nights. I'm taking Amtrak. Love traveling by train. Leaving on Tuesday am. WELCOME BACK to all Crazies who, like me, have been MIA for awhile. LOVE the changes (for the better), Jason. Have a great day all!
  5. Great review, Jan. I was wondering if anyone else smelled that stench sometimes. I also smelled it in The Solarium. Also, the Bordeaux Dining Room is also a traditional dining room. That's where we had our set table every night. They must use both dining rooms for anytime and traditional dining.
  6. Hello Crazies! As I promised, while on our fabulous group cruise, I will be checking in once in awhile. I have missed it and I don't know why I stopped. A big THANK-YOU to Jan for organizing such a wonderful cruise. I just wish more Crazies could have joined us. It was so great to meet everyone. And, the itinerary was also very good. This northern girl almost melted in the heat and humidity but there was always the air-conditioned ship to go back to. Looking forward to your review, Jan. Feel better, Jan. I hope all other Crazies are well.
  7. Just popping in to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year.
  8. Hello all! I know it's been way too long since I've checked in here. Just thought I'd pop in for a minute and see what everyone's up to. Looking forward to the Crazies Panama cruise. We haven't cruised since March of 2015. I think we're due. I had back surgery - spinal fusion - in late September. I'm still recovering but I've come a long way. Winter has arrived in Michigan - 10 inches of snow fell on Sunday/Monday. Now, we're in a deep freeze with wind chills below zero. I hope everyone's well. I'll try not to be away as long again. Have a great day!
  9. Hello everyone! We got back Monday from our 10 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Equinox. What a beautiful and classy ship. Now I'm going through withdrawal Jan - My vote was for Bermuda but I'm willing to wait for Princess. Europe would be out for us, considering we're planning a trip to Paris in the Fall of this year - couldn't swing 2 big airfares within a year. I was on the group cruise in 2009 and it was a riot, so another cruise with a Crazies group to anywhere will be fine with me
  10. Great choices, Jan. Thanks for putting this together
  11. Hello everyone! Just stopping in to say hello! I know I haven't been around much, again, but I've been thinking about you. Some of you I see on Facebook every day but I'm trying to cut back on that too. Sometimes, too much of that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Three weeks from tomorrow, we leave on our first cruise in three long years. We just celebrated 30 years of marriage, on the 8th, and plan an even bigger celebration while on the Celebrity Equinox for 10 days. I hope this finds everyone well. Good night!
  12. Happy Thanksgiving! We're celebrating tomorrow with our (little) extended family. Our son, Evin, has to work today - he works in the seafood dept. for a local gourmet market - and then my niece's 2 young daughters are spending the day with their dad and family. Today, I'm just making a little ham dinner for the 3 of us. Tomorrow, I'll just have to take a couple things to my sister-in-law's house, for dinner. My foot is doing well, so the doc says. I'm still in the surgical boot and can't drive but no more bandage - just Band-Aids. We had about 5 inches of snow last week. It's gone now. The high is supposed to be 60 today. I hope everyone enjoys their day with family and friends. A big HELLO to all and have a great day.
  13. Good afternoon Crazies! The surgery went real well except that there was more "debris" - bone spurs and inflammation - than the surgeon thought there would be. Therefore the surgery took a little longer than expected. Thanks so much for all the prayers and good wishes. I'm trying to take as little of the pain meds as possible. I don't like taking that stuff. Shari and MaryLou, so far I haven't received any friend requests or emails from you. That's crazy with all the hacking going on. We've got a high wind warning going on. Luckily all the leaves are down so it isn't as hard on the trees. There are some power outages around but not many in our area. A big HELLO to all and have a great day!
  14. Hi everyone. I'm anxious to get this surgery over with tomorrow. So tired of the constant pain. Jan, I'm not having fasciotomies this time. I'm having bone spurs and debris removed from the first joint of my right big toe. Kind of like a bunion but it's on top instead of on the side. I'll have to be in a surgical boot for 3 weeks. Shari, so sorry about your rough day. Glad it all worked out in the end. Andi, glad the pathology report came out good. I wouldn't want my Dr. to tell me they were worried either. Good call on her part. A big HELLO to all and have a nice evening.
  15. Hello Crazies! Just a quick stop in before I have to start dinner. I had my surgery consult today. Everything's a go for Wednesday. Yes Ray, anything to do with pain in the feet must be taken care of. You need those puppies to get around Shari, yes the fasciotomies really helped. That was about 7 1/2 years ago. They did the surgery laparoscopically (sp?) - a small incision below the inside ankle bone and then they snip and repair the plantar fascia. It really wasn't bad at all. Well.....gotta go, hubby's getting hungry A big HELLO to all and have a great evening!
