Thanks Jason. I also heard this sad news from Rose today. I met MaryLou on the "Connie Goes Crazy Cruise" in 2009 and have been "chatting" with her and Rose, every day ever since. A great lady that will be sorely missed. My condolences to Jim and family.

Andi, we had a trickle of water come into our cabin too, during the infamous sailaway storm. That was scary. So good to meet you and Ed.
Shari, it sounds like your weather is a lot like ours. The past few days, we can finally see that Spring is sprung.
MaryLou, I know how much you're looking forward to Bermuda. It won't be long now. 
Miranda, we just started using our "Holland" napkins ☺ Zack opened them up and said, "Why are we saving these? We may as well use them." LOL! Glad you had smooth travels home.
Jan, I hope you're feeling better.
I'm getting ready for another trip. I'm going to Des Moines, Iowa to visit with relatives and go camping with my cousin (in a camper/trailer) for 3 nights. I'm taking Amtrak. Love traveling by train. Leaving on Tuesday am.

Hello Crazies! As I promised, while on our fabulous group cruise, I will be checking in once in awhile. I have missed it and I don't know why I stopped.
A big THANK-YOU to Jan for organizing such a wonderful cruise. I just wish more Crazies could have joined us. It was so great to meet everyone. And, the itinerary was also very good. This northern girl almost melted in the heat and humidity but there was always the air-conditioned ship to go back to. Looking forward to your review, Jan.

Great review,  Jan. I was wondering if anyone else smelled that stench sometimes. I also smelled it in The Solarium. Also, the Bordeaux Dining Room is also a traditional dining room. That's where we had our set table every night. They must use both dining rooms for anytime and traditional dining.

Great to see you here again! No wonder you're thinking about the Panama Cruise - recovering from back surgery and watching snow pile up outside your window - you must be ready for tropical weather right now. All that winter white crap and sub-zero temps are headed our way - oh joy!

Anastasiya called me on Skype at 6:30 this morning to tell me that they arrived safe and sound… Thank you everybody for your prayers for their safe travel. She loves the house and the surrounding mountains; I hope that she will be able to have a good time at school. I'm taking care of a few things before I have to go off to work; nothing much, it's really a pretty easy day. I have a couple of lessons tomorrow, but no gigs, so I get a brief rest before the onslaught of jobs starting on Sunday.
You all have been a great support group all these years past, and I am thinking today of how thankful I am for all of you!

We've been to St. Kitts. We went on the double-decker train tour offered through the cruise line. It went all around the island (and they served complimentary pina coladas and rum punch). It was a good tour! The people are very nice and friendly!

Sounds like good honest work, Debbie. And he'll learn how to sell something. Gotta start somewhere, and sometimes you have to take what you can get!

Yes. We're sailing the Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale on the Celebrity Eclipse (2 weeks) at the end of this month. St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados, Bonaire, Curacao and Aruba. Looking forward to seeing Bonaire. Neither my hubby or I have ever been there.

While we may not necessarily be personally interested in every new ship that’s announced, we’re always excited by the news. We figure as long as our favorite pastime keeps growing there’ll be plenty more cruises in our future!

I'm not a fan of the new, huge mega ships that are the trend today, but I do like the design of the new Breakaway and Getaway, and feel they are big improvements over the Epic. Epic's cabin design, specifically the odd bathroom setup, just doesn't do it for me.

Hi Crazies!
My jury duty was over by about 10 am yesterday. I'm sorry to say that we found the young man guilty on all 3 counts. The main one, being a felon in possession of a stolen firearm. It wasn't an easy decision for us to make but we're all 100% sure it was the right one.
Now I've come down with a nasty cold. I just hope it stays a cold and doesn't go into something else. I have a history of going into bronchitis from a cold.
I've been enjoying the baseball playoff games between our Tigers and the Yankees. Tonight's game got postponed until tomorrow afternoon because of the pouring rain we're getting right now.
Debbie, I'm sure it will be interesting when all the animals meet face to face

Rose - Didn't realize that Jocelyn and family had the Norwalk. .... Yikes....wouldn't want to get anywhere near that.

Been busy planning for our next trip. Different planning involved than the last one.
Jan, your daughter has an amazing talent. My hubby and I love Celtic music. I'll have to play it for him also.There is a group at the Michigan Renaissance Festival that does a lot of it and we always make it a point to see them when we go.
We've been to Cape Cod 3 times. The latest (2009), we stayed in a condo near downtown Provincetown, for a week. Love the Cape! We've also visited Martha's Vineyard but haven't made it to Nantucket yet.

MaryLou, enjoy your weekend on the Jersey shore. I'm sure the celebration is bittersweet.
Our weather has been much better the last few days - highs in the 80's instead of 100. BUT....it's supposed to go into the 90's again this weekend. Hopefully it will be cooler along Lake Michigan. This time, I will be online every once in awhile while we're gone. We have WiFi in the apartment. I won't be on much though. Too many brewpubs and wineries to visit

Good Monday morning, all! I'm trying to psyche myself up for the work day after my long, relaxing weekend, but it's not easy.
As I have mentioned previously, my daughter Amanda is both a vocalist and violinist and spends many hours upstairs in her bedroom, aka "recording studio" arranging, mixing and posting covers of all kinds of music and posting and entering competitions on all kinds of music forums including YouTube, Voice Hollywood, and several others. Well, I just had to share this Celtic song she just recorded. Not only is it a beautiful piece, but it is very fitting since I'll be soon heading to Ireland and Scotland.
