I have many food restrictions and meet with the dining staff as soon as we get on board. I have found everyone to be incredibly accommodating!

I find it interesting that the ships advertise "shows" but not the cost to see the show. Sorry that you paid so much.
As for your review, thank you for being honest. Ecstasy is an older ship and is made for the 3 and 4 night cruises. I agree that bigger is not always better. I'm surprised that you had such a bad experience, but you are not letting that interfere with your love of cruising.

Good afternoon Crazies. No I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just can't login from my Ipad anymore. No idea why. I am on my laptop today but I rarely get on it anymore.
Jan I have been keeping up with the Group Cruise and I voted through FB. MaryLou is keeping me in the loop.
My daughter gave birth to another girl on Feb. 9th. Everyone is doing well.My older Granddaughter in adjusting pretty well so far.
Howie is busy but that's good, need to pay for our next Transatlantic in November.
Just wanted to stop and say hello. Maybe the Ipad will magically work again.

This was a number of years ago, but we stayed at the Sea Side motel and found it to be perfectly fine. Not too expensive. Not a dive. Right across from the beach. Walking distance to stores.

Thanks for the honest review. We use to take ship transportation until we figured out that the shuttle service waits until the bus is full to capacity. It doesn't matter to them what time you reserved. So we now bite the bullet and use the taxi.
I agree that there is no excuse for being disrespectful. I'm not sure "if they care"

Just re-reading this and wondering what you ended up doing. I've been to Victoria two times and absolutely love it there. The last time I walked around the city for hours. All by myself taking pictures and literally smiling from ear to ear. Jerry didn't want to do anything and stayed back. When I got back to the cabin and he saw all the pictures I took he was disappointed that he didn't join me. I can't wait to return to both Victoria and Vancouver.

Michael and Amy: Creative ways of avoiding the handshake - love it.
I was also thinking - waving; holding on to something so your hands are occupied.
Maybe avoiding that receiving line tradition all together. This would eliminate the bottleneck at the entrance of the room and encourage folks to sit down or mingle.

I am going to have to model my reviews after this. Incredibly comprehensive with a lot of of thought.
I am so glad that you enjoyed the itinerary and that the weather cooperated. We love when cruises are relaxing and there is no rush-rush to get from one place to the next. I think they call that "island time".

There is something unsettling about being really far away. Then again, maybe that's the excitement about it all. I still look at cruises out of Australia. I just don't want to fly in, cruise and fly out. So adding extra days adds extra $$$. Gotta buy that lottery ticket and hope it wins.
