Me too! This has been a fairly quiet role call on the "other" cruise boards I've posted on. On the flip side, maybe we get the whole boat to ourselves?!?! Guess between Carnival and Disney cruisers I'm used to bigger meet and greet groups, or maybe it's just this particular itinerary. I've heard Celebrity is more "sedate" in terms of its passengers, which is fine, we are all out for nothing but relaxation this trip.

Anyone else onboard? Hope to "meet" a few other guests prior to sailing.\

I just used Priceline today and won a room at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale for $60 ($74 after tax and fees.) It's about a mile and a half from Port Everglades and I think about 11 miles from the airport. Looks like a great hotel, based on the website pics I perused, and I am really happy to report that if I had booked directly through the Renaissance website a king room would have been $189! If you try this you need to bid for a 4-star, zone 2 hotel. I started out at $50 and was not accepted until I reached $60. This is my first time using priceline, so I am a little concerned that our room may be two lounge chairs in the broom closet, but I think we'll be ok!

Anyone else sailing the Western Caribbean on Carnival Freedom 10/18/09?

We are booked on the Celebration March 31 - yippee! First cruise! I have been seeing pretty good posts about this ship, but I also saw something about the last cruise being April 14? Is this ship leaving Carnival's fleet? If so, do we need to worry about the service?
