  1. GM,

We are good here in Washington State.  We live south of Olympia and we stay home except to go buy groceries once a week.  Both of us are healthy and are starting to get stir crazy but we can get through this.  We cancelled our road trip and probably won't go until next year.

My cruise with my daughter for November, we cancelled it.  Just aren't sure what the fall will be like and decided to wait and we are thinking about doing an Alaskan cruise for the summer of 2021.  Closer to home and it will be cheaper in the end.

I hope everyone is doing well.  Take care

    Falina

  2. GM,

Jan sorry you had to cancel your cruise but understand.  My cruise isn't until November so we should be okay.

We are leaving next week for a road trip to California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and back home.  I will bringing lots of hand sanitizer(sp) with us.

Our weather right now is cold but sunny.  Sure is nice from all the rain and cloudy days.

    Wishing everyone a great day!!

  3. GM Crazies,

Hope everyone is doing well.  We are fine here.  They say were going to have some snow next week.  I love it as long as I don't have to drive in it.  Being retired means I can stay home and enjoy it.

My daughter and I are 309 days away from our cruise next November to the Western Caribbean.

Dennis and I have remodeling the small apt so we can rent it again.  The last tenant totally destroyed it.  The guy lived like a homeless person but with a roof over his head.  Can't understand how anyone can live like that.  We found out(which we didn't know at the time) that he has mental issues.   As long as he was on his meds he was great but once off of them he got bad. Lost his job and family.  Sorry for him but he needs help and we couldn't do it.

Next up for hubby and I are many trips with our 5th wheel trailer.  Plus in March we are taking a road trip with the car and heading to California, Nevada and Arizona.  Next year we will take the trailer and do the trip we started to do last year and had major problems with the motorhome.  We both have class reunions this summer and they are one week apart.  Somewhere in there I need to find time to visit my four granddaughters and daughter who live in Idaho.

Well enough about me.  Everyone have a great day!!

    Chat later,

    Falina

  4. GM,

Welcome back Jackie, sorry to hear about your family.  Prayers coming for them and you. Glad you had a wonderful time.

We did a shake down trip with our 5th wheel trailer from Thurs -  Sat.  We learned a lot and hope to make that trip we started last March(too many problems and we came home after almost 3 weeks in Redlands, CA) again.  Hoping for better and if things don't go the way we hope then this land traveling thing isn't for us.

Looking forward to my cruise with my youngest daughter next year.  So much planning to do, but that is half the fun.

Well have a great day everyone!!

  5. Hi Shari,

It is so nice to see you on here.  You have been through a lot and glad to see you are doing well.  Will continue to pray for you.

A new month and still we haven't been out in our 5th wheel travel trailer.  Still waiting on the 5th wheel to be installed in our pick up.

Passports are done and we have them.  My daughter and I are now looking forward to planning our cruise for Nov. of 2020 to the Western Caribbean.

    Happy Fall everyone!!

  6. GM,

Yesterday I did nothing except watch the Seahawks win.  It rained most of the day so a good day to stay indoors and do nothing.

Andi - my daughter and I are going to the Western Carribbean with stops in Cozemal, Mexico, George Town, Cayman Islands, Falmouth, Jamaica and Nassau, Bahamas.  Her first cruise and my first time on the East coast.

Miranda - one never knows who things will work out.  Just might have to think about 2022.

    Everyone have a great day!!

Andi - You are WAY too busy, even more so than David, who also doesn’t like the dust to settle on his shoes too long.

The weather turned out perfect for our BBQ on Saturday. Dorian blew past us well off the coast, the skies cleared, and we were left with a sunny day at a comfortable 70 degrees. I do feel bad for the folks in the Canadian maritimes who got clobbered. And to think that could have been us if the storm happened a couple of weeks earlier.😮

I’m still hoping that my brother will join us on the Sky Princess in November of 2020, but he and Dana do prefer port days over sea days, and they’re not thrilled about six days at sea, so I don’t know. Once they return totally exhausted from their river cruise next month, they might change their tune!😁

Falina, I have never been able to figure out the workings of passport processing. When they say it will take 6 weeks, it takes 2; when they say it will take 2, it takes 8.😆 Your daughter must be so excited about her first passport AND her first cruise! Looks like our Crazies cruise will be returning to Florida just as you’re leaving. You booked a great Norwegian cruise, but If you ever decide you’d like to hop ships and come with us, let me know. It would be an easy process to make the switch, and we’d love to meet you!

Back to work for me. Have a great day!

Jan thanks for the invite but we have to work around daughters work schedule and she wants to do more than be at sea.  Maybe another one later on.  Yes she excited and she had to rub it in that she got hers first.

Glad your bbq went off well.

    Have a great day!!

  8. GM all,

Nothing new on my end.  My daughter receive her passport yesterday after only two weeks.  I am still waiting on mine.  Hers was a new one and mine is a renewal.  Sent in a day apart and mine is still in process.  We were worried hers would take longer guess we were wrong.  Once mine is back we can really start all the planning for our cruise in Nov. of 2020.

    Everyone have a great day!!

We're doing well Falina.  Thanks.  My son has left Washington state and started a job in Boulder, CO so we're happy to have him home.  And we've taken in an exchange student from Spain for the year, so just as the nest was getting empty, another bird showed up. 😂

That is awesome on all fronts.  Sorry it didn't work out for us to meet up several years.  My mom was sick again and has since passed.  It will be two years this December.

  10. Gm everyone,

Woke to thunder an lightning here this morning along with some much needed rain.  Very dry here.  Jan congrats on the cruise.  Sounds like a good one.  Can't join you since my daughter and I will be leaving for the Caribbean on Nov. 14, 2020.  We will be two ships passing in the dark.

Jackie hope all goes well so you can leave without weather issues.  Enjoy your trip!!

    Kevin how have you been?

Miranda congrats on your next cruise!!

    Everyone have a great day!

What a bummer! When you're on board the Escape next year, be sure to take advantage of their NEXT CRUISE program. NCL has the best one, IMHO, of all the cruise lines. Put $100 down and get onboard credit for not only your next one but also for the one you're on. Get some extra $$$ and help get you to Gold status!

I will have to look into that.  Thanks for the tip.

  12. GM Crazies,

It has been awhile since I posted.  Retired last July, new granddaughter in July 2019, traveled a bit and now I have booked a cruise with my youngest adult daughter for Nov. 2020.  Going on the NCL Escape to Western Caribbean.  This will be her first and my third cruise.

Hope everyone is well.  Have a great weekend!!

  13. Hi all,

Just checking in.  Had a great visit with my daughter and granddaughters.  Will be going back at the end of July for middle grandaughter's 2nd birthday.  Then again in August for oldest granddaughter's 4th birthday.

Next up for us is a 3 day camping trip farther from home.  Testing the waters as they say. August is pretty full so no camping trips planned at this time.  We have plans to travel to Glacier National Park after Labor Day.  Probably will be gone a few weeks.

Wishing everyone a great last of June and welcome to July tomorrow.

    Take care,

    Falina

  14. GM Crazies,

Got back yesterday from our short camping trip.  We wanted to work out any bugs and figure out what we needed for the motor home.  We took some hikes and played in the creek since it was hot out.  We are planning another camping trip for next month that will take us further from home and a longer stay.  So much fun!!

Tomorrow I leave for Idaho to visit my daughter and 3 granddaughter.  Haven't seen since April when the youngest one was born.  Will be taking a different route so I can see different scenery.  Will take about half an hour longer but that is okay.

Wishing everyone a great Friday and an even better weekend.

  15. Good morning all,

I just realized I haven't posted anything in awhile.  It has been busing with school winding down and retirement parties to attend.  As of June 14 I am now retirement, not officially until August 1st. On the 14th I turned everything in at school and walked out the doors for the last time as an employee.  As of right now it doesn't feel like retirement since I normally have summers off.  When school starts back up at the end of August then I will probably really feel it.  Have lots of trips planned and house projects to keep us busy.

Hope everyone had a nice Father's Day.  Spent Saturday afternoon with my dad.

Andi happy belated birthday wishes.  Hope it was a good one.

We are headed out to do some camping in our motor home this week.

    Wishing everyone a great week.

  16. Good morning!!

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!  We have no plans, just our usual weekend stuff.  Starting on Monday we will be making better food choices and learning to adjust our carb intake.  Will keep you posted on our progress.

I am a morning person.  Get more done in the am than the pm.  Early to bed, early to rise as they say.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

    TGIF!!

  17. GM,

Not much going on here this past week.  The next couple weeks will be very busy.  Tomorrow I have a dental appt.  which I don't like but is necessary so I don't get an abscess.  Then Thursday hubby has an appt to see the nutritionist.  His a1c is way to high and they want him to lose weight and exercise.  I will be this with him.  It won't hurt me and we both love carbs, especially the breads.  Then the following week after Memorial weekend I will getting prepared for my mother's memorial which we put off until the summer so all my brothers could be here.

Well enough about me.  Wishing everyone a great Sunday and may God Bless each and everyone of you.

    Falina
