  1. Hi Dream, We are not going on this one (I wish I was,) but have sailed to Hawaii three times: twice on the Radiance of the Seas down from Vancouver, and once roundtrip LA on the Golden Princess. We love Hawaii but the long flights not so much, so glad there are options for sailing one or both ways. Enjoy!!
  2. So that's interesting, Jan - you always take your passport, and we always leave ours in the safe... there is so much conflicting advice on this topic! Do you stash it away on a hidden pouch or anything else to protect it on shore?
  3. Guess we better put quotes around FREE? 😅
  4. HI Larry, I know Jan will try to help explain your airplane questions but on the subject of Quebec....I highly recommend it! We spent two days there prior to the cruise, and then overnighted there on the cruise and it still was not enough. The atmosphere with everyone out strolling, especially in the evening, with street entertainers, art vendors, sidewalk cafes, the lights overlooking the seaway....it is magical. And taking the funicular between upper town and lower town seems so quaint and old-fashioned. And you alight on a pedestrian cobblestone street lined with little boutiques, ice cream shops and restaurants. It is so rich in history as well and the scenery...wow! Yes...we will go back!
  5. Welcome, Floridajourney! Looks like you are cruising in November - where are you headed....and on what line and ship? We love to share our cruise news - you never know when someone has great advice or will have questions for you when you return.
  6. 👩‍🚀 Think this will work....or this one? ⛑️ It already has the first aid sign on it. 🤕😅
  7. So then I assume our Sky Princess cruise will take us out of Brooklyn? My thought exactly about the TV - they couldn't put it on the wall facing the bed? And I didn't bump my shoulder, I smacked into with my face! Come to think of it, my face took quite a beating on this cruise, lol! 🤕
  8. Jan....is there a break on the pricing for this sailing from your consortium? This is very tempting....

  10. Would love to have more Cruise Crazies on this 10-Day Baja Mexico Cruise out of L.A.!
  11. I agree, Jan - would be fun as a CruiseCrazies group activity! 😀
  12. This kind of intrigues me....I would love to hear from anyone who has done this. I was looking also at their option to take the cruise down, spend 3-4 days at a resort, and then take the cruise back. I'm sure it would be cheaper to fly, but that isn't the point, is it?
  13. Wow - that's a great itinerary....and on that cool class of ships! 😎 Unfortunately I would have to pass....we have Alaska in June and adding this one would really empty the piggy bank! But hopefully it appeals to others because I would be hard pressed to join anything in 2020....we have Baja in March, Alaska in June, Whistler in August, and Disney in September/October...unless we put this one off for a year or two...which I might be persuaded to do if there was a really cool fall cruise option....😏
  14. Wow! I didn't realize the latest drydock was going to be so extensive! Not thrilled about the new water park, but definitely want to check out the new dining options! We'll be on her in 47 days, but who's counting!
  15. We also take the water taxi and walk around Phillipsburg...we walk Front Street one way and then the boardwalk back. We usually stop for a beer along the beach and then later find a place for a great lunch.
  16. We were in port late so was able to have a nice dinner at Raices - I went for the mojitos, lol! Agreed that more time there would be great; San Juan would be a great overnight port!
  17. We have been to Princess Cay numerous times but, like Jan, we just usually set up shop on the beach. We do purchase a clamshell so that we have the capability for shade as well as sun, and we do enjoy getting in the water there. I must say though....Half Moon Cay is nicer, if you have been there.........
  18. Having just been to Puerto Rico and St.Maarten in March I thought that the areas around the port looked pretty good, although on Front Street in St. Maarten there is still a lot of rebuilding to be done. And when we were touring the Yoda Guy's Museum, the power went out and he said that that happens all too frequently still. He had to go out and start his generator to get the lights back on, but his ability to accept credit cards stayed down. We ventured only as far as Casa Bacardi in Puerto Rico and The Old San Juan section was looking pretty good, but I imagine farther out there is still damage.
