  1. Happy Birthday dougfw!

  2. Thanks, Coach! We're looking forward to it.

  3. Bon Voyage on the 13th. Time is nearing. Have a great time!

  4. I've been on four different cruise lines and on every one, they've made a roll call before beginning. One time somebody didn't answer repeatedly so they went to look for her as they would not start the drill until she was present. She had 2000 people really pissed at her for a day or two since everyone knew her name. It's a hassle but it's part of the ritual and may even save your life so we just go. But I didn't know you could take drinks with you so I'll have my beer with me next time!!
  5. The theme from "Love Boat". That's dorky, I know. But when I think of an upcoming cruise or as I'm planning a cruise...that song always comes to mind (and I'm not a big Princess fan either, go figure)!
  6. In the future, if I ever need a doctor, hope it happens on a cruise ship. Had to see a doctor one time on a cruise and they were very professional and quick. But for now, let's all live off the government so nobody will have to work and let's make everything legal so that crime will be abolished.
  7. RCCL does the best job of giving passangers options about how to distribute tips. The only thing I don't like about automatic tipping on cruise lines is when it comes to booze. Most of the bartenders and bar wait staff on the standard cruise lines are very friendly and service is resonably quick. It's the guy who takes your drink order and then comes back 20 minutes later that I don't want to tip...but there is no option. It's automatic, like it or not. I'd bet if they made the auto bar tip 5% instead of 15% and give the passanger the OPTION to raise the tip to 10% or 15% (or even more), then you wouldn't see bar wait staff taking orders and then disappearing for 20 minutes. You'd see more "Johnny On The Spot" service for obvious reasons.
  8. "Fisk says Juneau should woo more high quality retailers such as Abercrombie & Fitch..." Abercrombie & Fitch? High Quality? Is he joking? Why would someone from the lower 48 go to Alaska to shop at a place that sells teenage sex in every mall in the U.S? If shopping in Alaska turns into the same thing as shopping in Kansas City, I will not be shopping in Alaska.
  9. Welcome to CruiseCrazies Doug - beautiful picture.

  10. Thanks for the welcome notes! Next cruise: 9/13/09, Mariner of the Seas

  11. Glad you found us, Doug. Hope to see you posting in the forums.

  12. Welcome doug it's great having you onboard!

  13. "Going Green" is the new "Hammer and Sickle" of the old Soveit system and of North Korea today. It's a way for socialists/communists to kill capitalism/freedom by using the disguise of "saving" the environment. Hopefully, people will start waking up to this unfortunate fact before special interest groups, who act like THEY own the world and the rest of us are intruders, kill freedom for us all. This so-called "clean" fuel surcharge is another blatant example of their alarmist tactics in order to line some special interest groups/beaurocrats pockets off of those who actually work for a living and want a vacation.
  14. Welcome to CruiseCrazies, dougfw!!
