Jan115 reacted to Jason in Another Covid Casualty - Cruise Travel Magazine
So bummed to heart this news! Have always LOVED every issue and CruiseCrazies had been featured in the magazine numerous times over the years.
Glad I still have some copies to hold onto for the future.

Great article, Jan! Even though I have taken 30+ cruises I would never think of booking without a good travel agent. All of the points in your article are spot on, and unless you opt for a very high-end, exclusive travel agency, the cost to use an agent is $0! So why not take advantage of their expertise and access?! You can still maintain as much control over the details as you want....or....you can leave everything up to your agent if planning is not "your thing".  And CruiseCrazies even makes it easy - check out their recommended Authorized Agents - I have!!

Thank you, Shari!? Seawalk, fortunately, had enough solid floor surrounding the glass to make it less obvious that there was nothing between us and the ocean.?

Thanks for the great comparison between the two ships. Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships are all a bit too large for my liking, but fans of either will appreciate the differences.

We can only hope she was trying to apologize ... ?

Shari  - that’s awful, and there is no excuse for the crew’s behavior, especially since you had an assigned seat. Thankfully, the other guy was a gentleman and moved over for you. What a terrible way to treat their customers!?

Always wanted to try a repositioning cruise. Think it would be really nice with the money saved and more time onboard, and still seeing nice ports. Thanks Jan!

Good ideas, Jan. I rarely use the straws, but on a cruise ship with a cold pina colada it's a must. I wouldn't mind washing my own straw or reusable water bottle. Turning off the lights and closing the balcony door seem to be common sense... shouldn't be hard to remember.

Jan115 got a reaction from JSinapijr in My First Freestyle Cruise Experience !
Joe, thanks for sharing your first cruise with NCL. Being a diehard Princess fan, Norwegian’s Freestyle cruising was a hard sell for my husband and I, but after recently returning from our 8th NCL cruise, I guess I can say the line grew on us - we love them! We are also New Englanders born and bread, and I agree - cruising out of New York is so easy, and Boston, even better!Â

I agree - the ribs were great, and I'm not a huge fan of hand-held sticky food.?Â

Jan115 got a reaction from Shari2 in 8 years of working on ships
Thanks for sharing this enlightening video! Having spent most of my life around working musicians, including my husband and kids, I appreciate the wide variety of music I have heard on board every cruise I’ve taken and can’t imagine what a cruise would be like without it’s dedicated artists and performers. I think it takes a special person to work the cruise lines. I know some who tried and found it wasn’t for them. So thanks for sticking it out and having so much fun in the process. You’ve had some amazing travels!??

Jan115 reacted to dcuttler in Cruise Dining: Try Multiple Entrees at Dinner
This reminded me, when we were brand new cruisers our table mates turned us on to this dining "option". It really elevated our dining experience. Now we have 15+ cruises under our belts and share with other newbies, that we happen to be sitting with, that it's OK to order an extra appetizer or share an extra main course. On one trip our new friends took to this quite well. Each couple ordered an extra entree and we all shared them around the table. The plates were flying all over the place. It looked like a crazy family at Thanksgiving. We all stay in touch after several years.

Exactly! Sometimes the "city in a day" tours are just too fast-paced for me nowadays.
